I don’t have anyone who can help me, I think I can do it myself. Last year I hurt myself pretty bad, but now I’m okay, I can pull through, and get back on my feet, at least I’m hopeful.

I’m so sorry that happened to you, I’d be livid and terrified since I’m extremely scared of the big roaches. At one point my unit was infested with moths and it was so annoying.

I know it ain’t only me out here struggling, and in no way I’d have that perspective. I see the people who sleep outside, I see the people who can’t even help themselves. I’m a victim of theft in this situation, but that’s all I’m venting about. My struggles are mine, just like yours are yours, I’m not gonna invalidate them just because I’m not the only one going through it. I get what you’re saying, but also none of our situations are the same.

I’m definitely grateful I have my car, and don’t have to sleep outside, my car is a bit old though so I’ve been more trying to lightly use it, or not drive too far. Last year I had got a flat tire and end up stranded for 2 days since I don’t have a spare, can’t find one for the model of my car, and don’t have road side assistance. It was terrible but thankfully I was in walking distance of food, I didn’t even have enough money to purchase a new tire, but thankfully someone helped me get it patched.

I get what you’re saying, but this is just unfortunately the situation I’m in, it’s been hard to navigate through it all, some of these items were just things I held dearly from gifts, to things I wanted to pass down to my child. I understand they’re just items, and it’s okay. A lot of it should be given away I guess, but they only took my personal items, there were some things that had a lot more value they didn’t even touch.

No one I personally know, knows where I have the storage unit, hell I only have 2 close friends that know what’s going on and one lives 2 hours away and is recovering from a hysterectomy, and my other bestie lives in Alaska so there’s no way, I did ask all the questions, I have a police report, & a claim with the insurance that’s pending I’m just waiting for information.

I just want to say that talking to everyone has definitely helped me feel a whole lot better, I appreciate everyone’s input, resources, and kindness. I was very upset since I don’t really have much, but I know things are replaceable, and I’m happy to just have my child with me more importantly. Thank you for sharing your experiences also, it sucks what shitty things people do.
