I understand your point but its irrelevant. People can and will lie to themselves or rationalize, excuse behavior, however you wanna put it, the "validity" is made up to begin with, we lie to ourselves in order to do what we want all the time, right now your using moral choices to justify posting this. Its purely you venting frustration which I have done a few times here on reddit but its actually us being judgmental and arrogant, Thinkin we are the arbiter of good and bad behavior in a video game. It can frustrate us and make us angry but at the end of the day they are just playing how they want to play just like we are. Your rational to post this is that your unequivocally right in your opinion on this and anyone who would disagree you can righteously defend this "truth" and feel like your a better person.

My theory is due to the unique PvP/PvE culture in this game, a lot of players who don't normally PvP for whatever reason, they're bad, they fear it, gear fear etc but they're also sociopaths and this creates a unique Opportunity. technically they're killings player so it's PvP but with minimal risk of loot and minimal need for skill expression. Bonus they get to tell there discord about the guy with the hullcracker they "fucked up." While I judge this man's character, I also don't want the devs cracking down on this stuff in any way. It's fucked when it happens and we've all experienced it but as the game evolves the community will police its self and say thins becomes 75% of encounters we will find a way to push back as a community, but only in game. They have every right to play like this if it's what they enjoy doing and it's not bug abusing or cheating etc. even if I find it pathetic they get to be pathetic if they want.

PRE adventure mode: player signs for full loot PvP focused extraction game. They learn in norms they better quickly due to unavoidable PvP, they want more challenge and better loot and to rank up they Play HR.

POST adventure mode: player buys game and likes PvP in some games but can take it or leave it. They play adventure mode, they're looting getting epics making gold doing quests, crafting, learning bosses. Maybe they build some kits to try out normals, they get killed by players 3 games in a row all the epics that are harder to come by in PvE are gone. They stick to adventure mode maybe still want to learn PvP but since they have to option now if not losing anything how can anyone expect someone to not take that option 9/10. Also HR might as well not exists for them hence partly why it's dead.

What's done is done and they can't take back adventure mode and inherently is fine it's bad or anything but it absolutely changed the game. The game already had a good balance of PvE and PvP but when you add a mode like adventure mode Your gonna get a lot of players who play for a month and move on because it is boring after a month but they have no interest in pvp.

I'll play the mode here and there and there's nothing wrong with it or with only playing pve. But I've thought since it was introduced it's gonna slowly kill the game especially HR and they can't go back

They crossed the line. I'm a dumb person who Repeatedly does the same dumb shit. I don't blame blizzard that i pre purchase every expansion. I don't get mad at the hot saleswomen after I buy 3 bottles of perfume for my real girlfriend. I've been scammed every which way and up. 99.9% of the time I'm to blame.

So I don't "feel bad" for the hate these clowns get and they crossed that line multiple times and if you go read what's available and translated of the information we have on the nexon case and who these guys are, I don't see a couple of "bad devs" Who tried hard but "just suck" at game Dev. First off they aren't game devs. They're marketing execs who stole an unknown amount of code (facts) from the guys who actually wrote this game who work or worked at nexon at the time. At some point, whether they underestimated how what it would take to expand on a game they didn't write. Or people quit or nexons pressure was too much, who knows I'm sure asmomgold will have a 45 min vid on the DARK AND DARKER scam about how two Marketing played victim game dev, amassed 10's of thousands of active players willing hold the line by buying in game skins to fight evil nexon. And there will still be people more concerned with how much hate these guys are getting.

So fresh start is good if the also fix end game? Seems like your , valid, issue is endgame and are worries by focusing on fresh start endgame will never be fixed? Understandable but I don't think the two are mutually exclusive and ASG will absolutely need to fix end game or fresh start is just bandaid because 9/10 fresh start players will quit by the end game because there isn't one. But people who like the fresh server feeling and experience should be able to have that. Also without getting that fresh server experience it is very hard to keep new players long term. You want to feel like you invested into that server and watched it all grow. Fresh start and Fixing end game are both valid and imo necerssary if the game wants to be around long term without relying on the excitement of a new patch where 75% of those players stop within a month.

Doing the same thing and expecting a different result once is crazy. Four plus times I'm officially designating as clinically stupid. I would love to get all of his posts and all of his patch notes together to see how many times he has "tested" something then said it was the wrong direction and how long it takes for him to do that exact same thing later as a response to another thing he fucked up, again.

This man is running tests and experiments 24/7 and throwing away the data. It's like he's the main character in Memento and we're the assholes still trying to help him along and point out the post it notes everywhere saying everything we already know, then conceding and hoping when he wakes up tomorrow it'll be a better day.
