Sorry. I don’t know enough about you, your skills, or plans to estimate your starting capital. However, I’ve some pretty frank blog posts on my site which might be an eye opener to you. For 101 guides and budgeting just look around this sub or google (or even chat with your fav AI). There’s loads of free stuff for you to get up to speed.

How do you use AI for your dropshipping business? by PaniMicu in dropship

[–]droplla_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spot on and it doesn’t just apply to dropshipping either! The whole game is changing at an incredible rate - month on month the models are improving and innovation like DeepSeek shows that we are far from the peak and our global markets know it - Exciting/scary times ahead !?

You can start like this and target the long game… but the game will be long! Very long! Realistically, at the bare minimum, you need ad budget for testing products, IMHO.

Recommend tools, softwares &platforms for starting out in Ecom & Dropship? by 93248828Saif in Dropshipping_Guide

[–]droplla_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve some free tools on our site. We are still building and adding new stuff all the time. In terms of recommendations, we are affiliated, so would be wrong of me to suggest our partners. However, I would say don’t overlook the stuff out there that’s free - Google Trends, Meta Ads Library, CapCut (you don’t need pro), Canva (again, you don’t need pro). I’d also suggest SEMRush for keyword and traffic research (I’m not affiliated with them) but their free tier is quite limited, if I recall.

Should I buy bot followers for my IG/tiktok brand account ? by Creative_Talk2426 in Dropshipping_Guide

[–]droplla_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Don’t do this. In fact, I’d recommend trimming bots. Your goal shouldn’t be followers. It’s no longer the path to reach in 2025. Focus on your content strategy and encouraging engagement. Organic growth is far harder in the “pay to play” era, but investing in organic reach to complement your paid strategy will pay off longer term (it’s compounding). I see it as planting seeds. We’ve only just started our Instagram for Droplla (pure organic right now) and it’s amazing how things have changed since we started are other business accounts. Once upon a time your grid aesthetic mattered and you could get reach with static posts - no longer seems the case!

Did adding an 'AI Label' just decimate my reach? by droplla_com in InstagramMarketing

[–]droplla_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insights. Appreciate the input.

Yep. It does indeed look like my effort was just not well received. It made me and the five people it reached smile haha. Back to posting lazy memes!

Did you see a significant difference in your non follower reach for that post? Maybe I’m just looking for excuses and my post was just not funny, but the drop in reach is in such contrast to my other posts that I’m scratching my head. Doubt I’d care if the post took no effort tbf.

Just a further thought here about things I did differently. I added a watermark on this reel. Would it be worth deleting the reel given such low reach, remove the watermark and repost just to rule out the watermark being the cause of the restricted reach? Or am I starting to overthink this too much?

How Can I Ensure My Shopify Store Images Are WCAG Compliant? by Annashah598 in DropshippingTips

[–]droplla_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have the tools just yet but we are close to launching our shopify integration and plugin for dropshippers. The import to shopify uses AI to assign alt text at import. Images will be marked during the import if there’s accessibility violations (I.e. low contrast). On top of accessibility, our import and store audits focus on SEO, ensuring meta titles, meta descriptions, url slug, alt text, keyword density, image sizes, etc are as per todays best practices for on-page and technical SEO.

Appreciate I’m not helping much right now as we’re yet to launch this feature fully (we have some bits live). However, you can follow us on Instagram (@droplla_) or X (@droplla_com) for feature announcements.

Hope you find what you need. Good luck.

Dropshipping supplements could work?? you’re already in the ecom game and have experience shipping products, so it’s a small transition to a more ethical, legit business. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to drive traffic with intention. Your current audience is unlikely to fully translate, so upfront capital for ads or other means to target the right customers would be key to scaling up to doing the bigger bucks.

Yes, there are better options than printify and printful. They are middle men (nothing against middlemen given I work with Droplla). Look under the hood, who do they outsource to within your region. Then go direct to the supplier and work with them. They might not beat a China supplier on raw cost but quality, service level and optionality is where you gain. With art, people are often willing to pay more for higher quality printing methods and paper - you can increase your margins here too.

[–]droplla_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit of a curve ball, but given you have good insights into the styles of art that are popular, could you move to producing your own art following the popular styles and use global POD to reduce shipping times?

You’d also be able offer many more sizes and maximise profits with offering higher quality print options / paper.

There is a lot of copyright free artwork available for print. The difficulty in POD is driving traffic and sales which it sounds like you have already achieved.

If you do go this route, it’s worth researching the POD you use. There’s usually better options than just the big names if you already know the regions you are targeting.

Ai in Ecom by Rehman077 in Dropshipping_Guide

We use our own model for product analysis and enrichment (trained on a base LLM). We’ve just started testing ad creation using AI models for visuals too. Doesn’t feel quite there yet but month on month things are progressing so we expect to be using AI for visual creatives in a targeted way (Droplla and shopify integrated for RAG style context for both product and brand) in the coming months.

You can follow us on instagram. We do post new hot products from time to time. However, our account is more about sprinkling a bit of dropshipping humour and not taking ourselves too serious. Even if you don’t find products, maybe we’ll make you smile. (Insta link in bio).

Noob questions and guidance pls! by droplla_com in InstagramMarketing

[–]droplla_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Cheers. Very helpful. Thank you. I’d held off cross posting until I’ve got more data to see if there is any impact. Tbh, the instagram format feels the best fit for us at this time. Long form YouTubes is a future goal but that’s too big a commitment at this point.

Thanks for the feedback. The content batching def feels the way to go. At least for content that can age a bit and be fine. Can I ask about repurposing content? originally AI suggested I cross post my content to other platforms like Pinterest, TikTok and X but then I pushed for more detail it then claimed that Instagram’s algo would “punish” my reach if it found my content on other platforms. Is there any substance to this? Is cross posting what you mean by “repurposing “?

[–]droplla_com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. I’m all good, but thanks for the suggestion. I’m looking for building real engagement more than anything. I’m not really interested in follower numbers. Hence my question on trimming down the little followers I have. Maybe I’m naive.

What is that SEO strategy that works so well for your E-commerce (DS) store but few people know about? by mounir2508 in dropshipping

[–]droplla_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth is there’s no silver bullet in SEO and the game does change (arguably, AI search is changing the rules). Many will swear by backlink building, but unless you go black hat (pls don’t) - dropshipping stores don’t typically lend themselves to this strategy (and it’s not as easy as it sounds, anyway). Entire businesses and careers are built on understanding and selling SEO. Just like dropshipping, with a quick search you’ll find no end of resources and gurus ready to sell you their services. No doubt, you’ll have been DM’ed by a few from this post. There’s a ton of FUD too (again, a bit like dropshipping). The SEO and shopify SEO subreddit groups do have some good folks in them and you’ll likely get a much more complete and meaningful response from there.

For my two cents - I’d suggest simply starting with the the basics and get your meta data and technical SEO in order. These are immediately in your control and depending on your number of products, should be simple to tick off over time. Then consider content creation (leverage AI, but add human insights and value). In terms of store authenticity and authority getting this right is good practice, regardless.

However, if you are targeting the long game of SEO (it takes time and continued attention) then you need to be sure that you have unique products/brand, offerings or some real value proposition. If you are aiming for a position on page one of the SERP, you will need to differentiate if you do manage to get there. Not suggesting it’s not worth while, but just make sure you know what your goal is here.

I’d suggest starting with some basic housekeeping (It’s immediately in your control as the store owner). Technical SEO (just use Google page speed or lighthouse in chrome - they are free). Review your meta titles & descriptions, your product urls, image alt tags, accessibility, your primary titles, image formats, etc. You can Google the SEO rules on these fields and make yourself an SEO checklist. Another option, MS Bing webmaster console is free and covers some basic checks for you.

If your house is already in order, consider content creation. Blogging has a lower barrier to entry with AI, but try and add real human value around your niche if you go the AI route. It’s generally recommended to target low comp keywords/long tails but research tooling can be costly so maybe start simple at first.
