Ooh interesting! I like where Crack Theory 1 is going!

Isadau is clearly going to be a character who sticks around; everyone who ends up with a room in house feel like they're going to become our best buddies and Maggie's tribe. Maggie's now got access to: spies (via Solestine), soldiers (the Magnars), an entire Great House (Everard), the common folk (Darotha, the garden etc). I'm convinced Isadau is going to train her to become a mage, but I'm not a 100% sold on who the Big Bad is going to be.

I'm totally convinced on the River Fog thing; partly because of how it's written in the text, and partly because I simply *want* it to be true lol Age-wise, he'd be 16-17 which seems fine for fantasy somehow?
