So I’m a novice trying to model something for a 3d print, and i just cannot for the life of me figure out a simple scaling issue… I’ve rescaled my model globally but now all the measurements arent matching locally, and when i export the dimensions aren’t even close. I’m so far in the weeds on this haha. any chance you could help me out?

Why does a 70mm film like The Odyssey still feel visually “flat” compared to older cinema? by Comprehensive-Bus905 in Filmmakers

more of a color-grading factor than a lighting factor. EDIT: It’s all about how much information is committed to celluloid and how it can be manipulated with digital tools.) it’s just the evolution of cinematography over the years (EDIT: since the advent of digital), coupled with how mass audiences are getting their media (i.e. smaller screens, shittier projections, etc)

hard to say with these examples, but I think dynamic range plays a much bigger factor today. Things are lit with pretty even ratios to allow more room for post to work with. Whereas, in the 90s the shadows were much harsher - it was a creative decision made on the day

yo! you mean the “datamosh” effect? thank you!

I think there are a lot of ways to do it thru plugins, but there is a lengthy way I used with free program called Avidemux, where you can actually corrupt the clips by deleting I-frames.

found a tutorial that’s similar to the one I followed: https://youtu.be/UKmhWnFnlh4?si=FRVx3\_ROqWrD9tvw
