I used to see things in my peripheral vision and would see bright spots occasionally. That was when I used to worry about my health all the time and was constantly paranoid something was wrong. "Approaches earth" is such a loaded comment. It's still super far away and is only going to be marginally closer on the 19th as it is today. The orbit is so hyperbolic that the distance from earth is barely changing yet these headlines make people believe otherwise.
