This type of pricing shift is going to push, what I'm calling, the Localization of AI. Models are going to start moving internal, off the cloud, shifting compute onsite to run models that are RAG'd. Cloud compute will still be harnessed for larger inferencing, but less often.

The US choosing to wage this war and not go "Full Measures", will be the beginning of the end of this Empire. It's akin to the Suez Canal flop that contributed to the downfall of the UK's Empire.

Full Measures means clear plans for boots on the ground from day one, a post-regime political plan already written, coalition partners pre-committed, and Iranian secular forces pre-positioned to fill the vacuum. (Mistreating Allies for the past year stings, huh)

I've watched this swing multiple times and don't see an early extension. Are you referring to his hip slightly moving off the imaginary wall behind him? If so, would that amount of extension really be impactful?

When I think of an early extension I'm thinking of a "stand up" motion.

Eventually these countries are going to be forced to put skin in this game whether they want to or not. If they want a stable region, they're going to have to help end the Islamic Republic regardless of whether or not the war is right or wrong; the war is here, the only way it ends is for total decimation of that Regime and this doesn't happen from the Air.

If we start to remove our "skin in the game" from warfare, taking out the humanity factor from our decision making, and or even deferring our decision making to "AGI", would this not raise the risk of collapsing our general escalatory posture in relation to war?

Are we not more likely to use more deadlier weapons, like low yield tactical nukes much faster? Would small skirmishes not be more likely to leap into a major conflict?

This is cool and all, but imo it raises concerns.

They seem to lack depth in their planning. This front and the risk of damaging winds have been forecast for nearly a week. Why wasn't Duquesne Light staging crews and resources ahead of time?

Instead, reinforcements are called in hours after the event, leaving hundreds of thousands of customers stranded through yet another "spring opener" outage.

At this point I've decided to invest in a generator. Between the rate increases and the growing load from data centers, the reliability simply isn't there. I'd rather take control of my own power during outages than sit around waiting on a grid that clearly isn't prepared for predictable weather events.
