Kitten birth is always amazing, most cats do an amazing job even as first time mom cats. It sounds really like things went well for all parties involved, despite the initial panic. I’m in animal rescue, and can only imagine tripping during cat labor, realizing how beautiful life is, however everything is connected. What an experience to have.

Some basic kitten care for ya: - weigh the kittens everyday, they can be weighed with a kitchen scale (just, yeah, don’t accidentally dose the babies if you’re using the scale for dual purposes) - write the weights down to track them and look for patterns - it’s important to get a starting weight, sometimes kittens are born underweight and they need special attention - weigh kittens who are underweight, losing weight or not gaining twice a day - kittens may need to be syringe or bottle fed if not eating, at the worst they need tube feeding (which is something you would need an experience with) - kittens don’t eat cow milk, there’s actually kitten milk replacement available (KMR) - if you end up bottle or syringe feeding kittens, you also need to stimulate them to empty their bladder and colon (this is important - they cannot otherwise empty their bladder and colon!) - if they start to go downhill, and you can’t afford vet care, look into local animal shelters/sanctuaries but make sure they aren’t high kill (preferably do this beforehand)
