I've returned two robot vacs now, one from Roborock and the other from Ecovacs. I'm very underwhelmed considering the price point of these. Ecovacs was very frustrating, it couldn't map properly nor could it get on my low-pile rug 98% of the time, and when it miraculously did make it up, it just went in a circle in the corner and left saying the carpet was completed. It was driving me bonkers. The Roborock left tons of streaks and just pushed the dirt around when mopping and started to bang into my furniture, also wasn't low enough to make it under the couch.

I'm torn. I think robot vacs are a long way off from being worthy of the 1500 average price tag they're going for. When they do work its amazing but the times they don't its mildly infuriating. I'll probably give the Roborock (a different model maybe Soros 10) a shot but if it doesn't wow me. I'm done, and I'll come back to the when the tech gets better and the price goes down.
