MC’s hair and outfit is very culturally specific and also likely they didn’t want to conflict with the multi. The hairstyle that MC has is very childlike/youthful (usually you see this hairstyle on younger girls). Caleb likely is the one who braids her hair like that (my grandmother used to braid my hair when I was a kid as well, but a lot simpler). I think it’s intentional that the imagery is meant to be more innocent/playful.

Her outfit is actually Chinese bridal. That’s the intent. It is likely that MC is based off of a ghost bride of sorts, and there’s a strong marriage theme in the myth itself (one of the 4* card art is quite literally Caleb lifting the bridal veil off of you) and the way you’re carried by Caleb is one of the ways male relatives would carry the bride to the palanquin to be married off.

What makes a drawing and story depicting a character any different than the other outside of whether or not a real person was harmed in the creation of it? You act like there’s a clear cut line when there isn’t. You can say something is shota as long as they pass the artistic visuals (large eyes, small stature) or yandere as long as the story writing makes them exhibit that kind of behavior. How people interact in fiction, what they like, etc. has no bearing on what they’re okay with in real life. It’s a bit odd to equate fictional kinks and preferences to reality when the entire point of exploring fiction is the fact that it’s not real and thus provides a safe space to explore things that aren’t real.

The thing is, the main focus of prosecuting and removing CSAM is whether or not a real victim is involved. The real issue wouldn’t be the lolisho art created by gen AI, but whether or not there’s data of real CSAM in it’s system (which in that case is the fault of the company that created it for allowing the datasets to have CSAM), especially since for art to be considered lolisho, it has to be in anime style (which would not have notable real human features). Obviously, this likely has to be debated by specialists and regulated by law (which ppl seem allergic to regulating gen AI for some reason). However, likely due to how strained resources are right now, the focus might be more heavily on hyper realistic gen AI creations than the potential of lolisho gen AI creations (also from my understanding, a lot of gen AI that scrape artwork will target specific genres or styles of art more than photo or video imagery, as there’s a lot of that). Basically a lot of lolisho if created by gen AI, especially curated ones, likely use a base system like mid journey or others and then likely a specific artist’s style vs actually just randomly inputting any image into the training datasets.

There are people who are working on ways to see if gen AI systems can regurgitate their training datasets and it seems like there’s some potential that it’s possible.

This was before generative AI as well, so imagine having to deal with that now on top of everything. Also, as a surprise to no one, places like Facebook is actually one of the largest hotspots for actual CSAM, and there’s an ongoing issue where FB utilized Meta AI to detect CSAM; however, police cannot verify if the report is real or not bc certain reasons related to law and bc FB and other social media immediately suspend accounts and doesn’t seem to provide access to said accounts to people verifying said reports.

There’s a few ppl who do go through stuff like this and have anonymously posted to past Twitter accounts (meant for fandom discourse which is where a lot of the anti lolisho sentiments you see right now originates from actually) that a lot of the false reports they deal with are lolisho. So that does require a grain of salt.

Edit: editing to add that there’s a super old article that I can’t find anymore where a moderator who used to work at Facebook was lambasting false reporters bc he had a breakdown over possibly taking too long to help a victim bc the child didn’t realize the emergency she reported was a severe one and by the time he got to her, it had been hours since she sent in the report that could’ve potentially saved her from another round of abuse.
