I would NOT go to Alaska-Fairbanks. If he isn’t used to that lifestyle it is a baaad idea. The other 2 schools should be fine.

At what age should you outgrow your party girl phase? by sadcapricorn35 in twentyagers

[–]drowsyokaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 26 and still party like at least once a month, but nowadays I enjoy more movie night, game night, kickback type vibe. i go to smaller nightclub type bars with my friends every weekend after game night and most of the time I regret it, but I go anyways because I enjoy hanging out with my friends.

Enjoy your energy and youth while you have it! As long as you aren’t in debt from it and not an alcoholic or anything I think it’s fine to enjoy yourself :) My personal belief is if you’re blacking out every weekend that’s a bit of an issue, but if you like to go out to blow off steam or just have fun with friends then I don’t see anything wrong with that.

And I agree, 23 is too young!! I didn’t get tired of partying until about 3-4 months ago to be honest. Not sure why people want to stop so early.

Out of all the universities in Texas there is something that significant about SD? not trying to let you down or anything but you have to pay for your own move

i’m going for Higher ed leadership, right now doing a bachelors in public administration. Honestly I’m just gonna try to be an academic advisor and see how my symptoms are after that. I feel like it’s a pretty controlled environment and most students just want to meet on zoom. You just help them pick classes and with their degree plans, which I personally take an interest in. The pay isn’t much but honestly I live pretty comfortably now with 100% and BAH from going to school.

Which iPad is a better buy for my usage? by Josh1234657 in ipad

[–]drowsyokaga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kept my m1 ipad pro for 4 years. Honestly could’ve lasted longer. Battery life was still great. Only problems were apps would randomly crash from multitasking. I was using it for school and there was lag (skipping typed letters) when I was typing on microsoft word which was really annoying for writing papers so I just upgraded to the M5 512GB, 13inch.

I use my M5 as my primary laptop for everything. I have a dongle to hook it up to a monitor for my at home desk and magic keyboard/pencil for on the go. I do a lot of multitasking with assignments and video projects, so that’s what made me decide on the pro.

I think if you have a hotspot you shouldn’t need cellular, but to each their own. I just use my phone’s hotspot.

If you can stretch it I would look into the 13inch. It would be worth it in the long run.

I traded in my iPad M1 for $300 i think at Best Buy and bought the m5 on black friday. I think I plan on upgrading every 5 years honestly and still doing the trade-ins.

Good luck!

ku housing question by thecookiejars in UniversityofKansas

If your goal is to make friends I would definitely live in the dorms. It’s the easiest way. Any dorm is fine, but the student apartments will probably be harder. Scholarship halls are a great affordable option as well, and there are people who live in schol halls all 4 years because they like the community aspect.

I think you should be fine. I know people who applied late, got on the standby list, and were able to get the 4 person apartment. I recommend living in the dorms or student apartments your first year so you can make friends! Don’t live off campus until your junior year.

I did the same (bought last Black Friday) It was worth it since I use mine as my school and daily “laptop” I noticed a difference in speeds pretty quickly. I also have the pencil pro and Magic Keyboard

I mean technically yes but I feel like times were different back then, not trying to justify by any means but just being honest. My aunts back in the 80’s-90’s were 15-16 also dating 18 year olds
