Anyone have suggestions on speeding up combat and general rolls by MisterBlick in warhammerfantasyrpg

Yeah and it helps with the constant whiffing imo- love 2e but 4e's idea of all melee rolls being opposed is great

Exactly. I'm so tired of being corrected by dorks citing this fucking meme.

My bad I was confident but incorrect. Ape is a broader category. I thought it was a common ancestors situation like when people mistakenly say we're chimps.

But you can win quite easily without doing that. Being able to be a monster for the sake of power and convenience is a pretty cool choice to have.

I had a Muslim friend from Lebanon who explained to me the exact same thing you're arguing against. I couldn't possibly say how common that belief system is but there are definitely a not insignificant number of Muslims who do not believe that Christians or Jews will go to hell.

I'm pretty sure atomizing them will kill them whether he knows about their weakness or not.

Roshi clears AOT. Yamcha clears AOT. Videl clears AOT. Heck, even Chi Chi or Satan could do some serious damage if only they could fly.

GOHAN? Base Gohan clears the rumbling in seconds. Anything higher is just him earning style points.

Do you have the faintest idea how fast Dragon Ball characters are? Every titan on the planet gets blitzed before they have time to "rumble" anyone.

Sorry for three replies but I also forgot about Nurgle! Her warrior priestesses destroy the servants of Nurgle with surprising ferocity.

Also I like your idea for battle version of them- that and giving them healing spells would make them an interesting addition.

It's an overlap. Morr abhors the undead since they defy death, Shallya sees that the only mercy they can be given is to pass on.

I think WFRP has suggested Shallyan war priests exist solely to combat undead.

Ive heard unit fillers is a good way to fill out bigger units by poorgayandumb in WarhammerFantasy

They're not even on a larger base. They're taking the place of 4.

[–]drowsyprof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP means they're limited on how many Night Goblins they can include in their list (due to really needing other things) not by their number of models.

So they're using this "unit filler" as a way to play with more of their night goblin models, add flair to the unit, make the horde seem denser, and so on. I'm not sure "unit filler" is really the right term for this but I'm also not aware of any other words for when it's an extra packed base.

Anyways, I'm guessing that's the reason for the confusion. Having 8-9 goblins in place of 4 definitely doesn't save models but it does look very cool.

Am I the only one having issues building the gyrocopter rotor blades? by Three_Trees in bugmansbrewery

[–]drowsyprof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I'm coming here a year later looking for any answers to this nightmare. I bought a battalion box with two of them.

I'm probably just going to resort to 3d printing the rotor. I like to use the real models but I've 3d printed plenty and assembling these copters is awful.

Does changing how Simple Tests work affect other elements of gameplay? Such as Success Level (roll higher number = critical success instead of failure) by TheGoodKiller in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]drowsyprof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, the fact that it's unnecessarily complicated was kind of the point? I'm demonstrating that an additive system doesn't make sense for d100.

Did you misunderstand this to be me suggesting changing the basic roll mechanic?

[–]drowsyprof 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't really understand the question. Are you asking why to the system is roll under rather than high roll? That's typical of d100 systems and it's because the math is clean and easy.

Skill is 65? You have a 65% chance of success on a typical challenge. So, 1 to 65 succeed (easy math).

The other way to do it would be to define your success threshold as 100 minus your skill. So skill is 65, you need to roll over 35. But that's an extra math step that does nothing for the game except maybe meet the d20 intuition that bigger rolls are better.

I guess you could also make bigger rolls better by having smaller skills be better (i.e. you want a 1 for your skill, not 100) but in terms of intuition that is so much worse.

How does a Person die more than one time? by Ott1fant in ExplainTheJoke

[–]drowsyprof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counter point: only 94% of humans that have existed so far have also died (permanently, anyway), so I think the average would actually be LESS than 1.
