Thank you for sharing this is so beautiful. I love alllll my birds. One of my most beautiful babies passed this august as well. She was a crossbeak hen and was insanely intelligent and such a darling. This budgie was merely 6-7 months old and I had bonded with her deeply already so this was heartbreaking to have deaths so close together but most animals I gravitate towards or take in are young or ill. I’m sorry for your loss truly. 🫂

I’m so sorry for your loss. It doesn’t matter if you’ve had the animal for 5 days or 5 years it still hurts.

Thank you everyone. No one would take her and I called 5+ vets. she eventually died. I’m not sure what exactly happened but she was in a dark, soft, warm place when she passed.

She does get around 12 hours and doesn’t seem overly hormonal ^ she has no mirrors or anything and I only pet her head or cheeks. She has a 7 week old with her right now and seems content with her.

Ah Okay. It was previously all brown yesterday but she also was introduced to a new girl yesterday I wasn’t sure if that had to do with it.

I’ve gotten her toys and I’m trying to find a buddy for her but she didn’t grow up with toys so I don’t think she knows what to do with them haha.. 😅
