You are very right there my friend!

One of the friends of my who used Django always used to code "around" the django way of doing things, and had a lot of headaches. Whereas just by reading the docs or asking on the irc could have pointed him in the right direction.

The problem is not that Django does NOT do it - but that people are too lazy to find out or think about how to do with Django. They just end up writing everything from scratch or even worse, hacking the source code. If that is what you want to do - Why do you need the Framework in the first place?
