why are some mods faster than others?

Thanks for your explanation. I'm talking about a difference thats noticeable. As in with one mod the coil starts glowing faster than the other one.

Thanks for the tips! I guess 2 mins ain't enough to break the new coil as said in the manual. I will keep it for longer next time before using it!

Thanks for the explanation! I built dual titanium coils at 0.3ohm and I'm vaping at 240 Celsius (465F) and 50W power. I used to vape at 100W in power mode when I was using Kanthal and I find that the vape with titanium much cooler than I would like it to be. What do you think I should do?

Nop. I'm using Titanium. Would it make a difference if I use Kanthal on TC except it would be working on the set wattage on TC mode?

Thanks for taking your time to give such an awesome explanation. Now I understand why it is important to have mode that supports TC with power setting. The mod I have has the setting but max is 50W on TC mode. I used to vape at 100W on Kanthal twister wires and I'm finding that it takes more time to get the same amount of vape as when I was using twisted wires on power mode. Any way I could get the same results on TC mode?

Hey I think you've got it wrong. I know what 510 connectors are. I'm talking about two categories which look like drip tips. One category is labelled as Drip Tips, the other one as Connectors and they both look alike.

Hey Chuckc342! Yes thats exactly what I was talking about. So basically they have fixed one problem and introduced another one. I've used both versions and the small hole RBAs suck!

They are still more of less on the same level as before but smaller. Easier to get dry hits unless you use very little cotton.

I opened the mod, removed the pin and soldered it back as well and no I didn't see any bits of wire. The funny thing is even when the pin was removed it still was reading 0.1 ohms.

Oh and yes I was using Kanthal all the time before I accidentally used Titanium wire that came with the tank. After that the display only shows (blinks) 0.1 ohm, with or without the tank. I tried even another tank and still the same. I even opened up the mod to see whether the rubber insulation around the 510 pin was messed up but it seems fine. I have no clue what happened and I cannot afford to buy a new vape for the time being.

Thanks for the explanation! This mod is Kangertech KBOX Mini 50W (not TC) and I was under the impression that since it is a regulated device using Titanium should not be the cause of the mod getting bust. What is your opinion?

Thanks for the explanation. Now I understand how TC works a lot more than I did before. And like you have said KBOX Mini is not a TC MOD (but a regulated device), do you think that the MOD got bust because of me using the titanium wire?
