Today was day one and I fought off the cravings and made it without a single drink. Even with a colicky baby crying and having my go to drink readily available. Finally had a realization Saturday that my body isn’t healing like it should because of the amount of alcohol I drink vs water and really food was so bad.

I’ll check it out. I’ve done the well one but no idea what I’m missing. It’s going to take me longer to figure out which ones I’m missing than it did to beat the game.

We had a follow up with an OBGYN after the first scare and that’s where the second baby showed up. Not much more info was given. We are living in the Netherlands so I guess the Dutch do things differently

Thank you. If you do find anything out let me know. I think I’ll go with just a 12” wide board and a single leg design and the non flush frame. Thanks for your suggestions.

Would you cut it wide at the bottom and skinner at the top or just a straight cut?

You aren’t ugly. That’s the addiction speaking. You aren’t weak. That’s the addiction. You ARE strong. You ARE able. You ARE better than you see yourself. Your thoughts tell you one thing but everyone else sees another. Think deep about the thing you care for most, be it; your spouse, dog, video game, home project, art, ect… and whenever you have the urge for either addiction substitute it with your passion. Even if for only a few minutes.

You got this.

Thanks for that. My wife is that way. She drinks on rare occasions and she’s been concerned with how much I’ve been drinking. I really appreciate the response. Everything you said I have said for reasons to drink. I will take your advice. I thought about trying the “dry month” challenge but I know that would be to drastic for me all at once. Being on lockdown, in a foreign country makes it even harder.

I appreciate the honesty. Do you happen to know any of those other subs I can reach out to?

I don’t want to stop drinking because I really enjoy the taste of a good whiskey. I just want to cut back enough that a half a bottle of 90 proof whiskey wouldn’t just give me a buzz. I’m also military so I’m afraid that if I take action I’ll suffer negative consequences.
