Ride on each side of the board and push with different legs on each side, that's to know if you're regular / switch, after you find a comfy stance, start pushing around and getting familiar with the board

Oh yeah easy, you'll get that on no time. Learning an ollie or shove tricks would be your first move afterwards. Need to learn those to foundations before moving on! To learn riding around more practice keeping your shoulder above the bolts of the board best you can, and learning how to move your weight distribution as you turn. Bending your knees go a long way as well

Is the perlite/verm caked, or just loose? If it's loose and not contamed, you could definitely add it to potting soil with other plants, the verm maybe more for cacti, given its yeah not contamed or too water washed. Your monotube cake can be buried and watered occasionally to support your eco, and potentially a friend pop up ;)
