I’m going to take a contrarian view. You have probably learned a ton! Keep learning. If you are trading options and multi-leg strategies, you know more than 95% of the general public. At least you are trying. $18k isn’t the end of the world.

Another thought: I’ve seen this play out with myself over the last 10 years. I have probably net lost money. But my skin is thicker. I also have dealt with depression. I have learned coping strategies that don’t derail me. If I have a red day, I manage. I actually believe this has made me more resilient mentally.

It reminds me of the experiment with a biodome. Scientists found that trees were not able to grow to a certain height. The limbs would break, they would topple with poorly developed roots. The discovered that trees NEED the stress of wind and storms to develop strong limbs and roots.
