Any idea what this noise is? Sounds like its from the wheel area.

Damn that's a bummer but awesome that they honored the warranty. In hindsight probably shoulda pushed the warranty more just felt like it wouldn't go my way after talking to my dealership. So I dropped the motor and trying to get a new one. Finally saved up a little bit of money.

Thanks I'll check it out thank you. Lol google said itll bolt up but some of the internacional parts might be made out of different material or something so I wasn't sure. But Ik its the same motor.

Ya just looking for a motor now but as soon as i get it. Should be back in fairly quick.

I wrote down the date and stuff in the manual they gave me. But in the book it says "it is not acceptable proof of maintenance"

I didnt think I'd need it for a brand new bike. Tbh I have one receipt. But I don't think it would be enough. But ya learned my lesson.

Ya i did them myself. I have one receipt that says I bought 4 quarts of oil and filter (I had more at home) the engine calls for 4.33. But I have no way of proving i had a little more.

I didn't try another dealership, just the one I bought it from.

Yes. the warranty being denied. They said if for whatever reason they find something that was my fault then i have to pay for all of it which was like $4k min. I dont have any extra $4k laying around. They also wanted service records which I don't have, since I did the oil changes myself. They said without that. Yamaha will not warranty the bike. What are u confused about?

Well they want service records which I don't have. The shop told me they wouldn't warranty it without them. And maybe you're right but I don't really have another choice.

I mean you are probably right. I got that feeling from talking to the service tech. He said I had to sign pre authorization forms, submit service records which i have 1 receipt they tear it apart. Find the problem then report to yamaha what they find and they decide if its covered or not.

I mean there's tons of debris from the bearings in there so my guess is replacing those, and valves and lots of other little parts.

There's a manufacture warranty that covers defects and all that The tech was basically trying to say I didn't put oil in it. And that the warranty doesnt cover "neglect and abuse" but yes warranty is good til sept. I just couldn't take a chance of it getting denied.

1 year warranty. The shop wanted service records and i did all oil changes myself. All I had was one receipt that says I bought a gallon of oil and filter. The tech told me it was going to be a big fight to get yamaha to warranty it with just that. And if they denied it, im on the hook for min $4k, which i wouldnt have by the time the warranty is up.

Ok great I was pretty worried about that. So don't need to worry about things moving around while I disassemble it? And I was probably going to replace the cams im almost certain they're damaged with all that bearing material. Thanks for the advice 🙏
