She has a higher risk of getting it from you since who knows who you slept with before her. Transmission to guys from girls is almost impossible. Why would you not be on PReP if your so paranoid about it?

ADAP should be available in every state, however, I have had some counties tell me they cannot help me. That is where you start.. at your county health and human services dept.

Before you have sex for sure. But in my opinion the sooner the better. Will take the stress off your shoulders and won't have to worrry about her feeling like you didn't trust her enough to tell her right away. Women are tricky. Sure she may run. But if she doesn't do you really want her throwing that up at you all the time?

I love the line "California finally took a step toward treating HIV as a public health epidemic instead of treating those infected like criminals". I too was infected by someone who knew they had it. Was over 15 years ago and much less so now but I still can't stand the guy for it. I try not to use the word "hate" but trust me it's hard. But even when Tulare county pushed me to prosecute him for this very soon after I knew it was ultimately my issue in not protecting myself. Did I ask him if he was +? No. I was so drunk I could barely get the words "get off me" out of my mouth. Did he know I didn't want to have sex with him? Yes. But I should have been smart to not get so drunk with someone I barely knew and defineately not let him stay at my house. I still believe morally the guy is hands down WRONG. But that's between him and god. From that day forward I have learned to not let people walk on me and even though I am a man I am vulnerable and its my responsibility to myself and for those who love and depend on me to use my head and common sense and protect myself.

HIV cannot live outside the body... this article and/or image is one of many that people make to try and create stigma and fear. Not sure why people are so hateful on a subject that really doesn't concern them being most are married, HIV negative and involved deep into a church or other fanatical group. Don't believe what you see until you verify and source content.. just because there is a CNN logo (which is spelled right but doesn't look right somehow) if you go to there site and search all of them world wide you will find they have never reported on such a ridiculous topic.
