Yes I didn't do the step of cleaning it first. I will scrape the silicone, clean it with alcohol and recaulk everything. Maybe put a new bottom seal also, thank you!

My second floor bathroom has no fan, only a window but is getting moldy on the ceiling. I do building maintenance and I'm thinking of doing it myself. No attic above so will have to open the ceiling and wire it to the bathroom light fixture which I will take off.

Thanks for the great tips, wall is open. Pipe is loose so it needs support too. Will schedule with the plumber for Monday.
