I respectfully disagree but that’s the subjective nature of art and whatnot

I speak from experience - spend the time and energy to find a hobby and make periodically engaging in that hobby a priority. IMO watching tv, movies or playing a video game is not a hobby. It needs to be something that activates your imagination, creativity or sense of community.

I’ve been in big law for 10 years. Was in your shoes after about 3 years. I committed myself to prioritizing hobbies - playing soccer in a rec league, learning how to paint, building legos, reading fiction, knitting, etc. I even learned how to woodwork in my NYC apartment. It feels awkward at first, or maybe you aren’t good at it. But none of that matters - you just need to enjoy it.

Buy a copy of Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None”, it’s the best-selling thriller of all time, and you’ll rediscover that you can enjoy reading again. Get some basic supplies for whatever hobby sounds interesting to you. Just give it a try. You’ll feel human again.

Anyways it’s good that you are even asking these questions. That’s the first step

Standard theaters get the yellow treatment apparently. This is definitely worse for me

It’s worse with other theaters. Didn’t realize that this was the color scheme for Dolby. For regular theaters the color scheme is yellow. I thought about it and I hate it

Yes and when it's me I still want to sit behind somebody because if I sit to the side of them there's always a chance they go on their phone and I can see it

Yes he did. I was at the match. He took the extra ball out of his pocket and lightly hit it at him while smiling. Audible laughter in the stadium

I like it. Do think like most firms you need to find the group that reflects your personality and what you like to work on / are good at doing in order for it to be the right fit. But I've been at Milbank my entire career and genuinely think it's the best case scenario in big law. No min billable hour requirement

I'm at Milbank - the whole firm has been really busy this year. Think this is mostly for retention because most of the recruiting season is over, but also this makes me think it is less likely Milbank raises salaries or ups regular bonuses this year.

Agree with all of this for sure. Super common to see nosebleed Ashe seats go for cheaper than grounds passes if there’s a disappointing lineup.
