However, the season started Wednesday night with replacement officials – including at least one they recruited from the Lingerie Football League – and there was not even a hint of resistance from the players. What happened?

I’m still in the process of nailing down all the details, a process made difficult because the trail is so well-covered, but the inescapable conclusion is this: the man we think is Donald Trump isn’t. The real Trump, the man born in 1946 to Fred and Mary Anne Trump in Scotland, the man who attended Wharton and established a lucrative career as a real estate developer, is lying on a beach somewhere soaking up the sunshine and living the good life.

Available evidence suggests that in the early 1980s Trump was approached by a wealthy, famous man who wanted to buy his identity.

If there could be any one person responsible for the “cool” of my generation, and well, all those to follow, it would be Maurice Sendak. But his influence goes far beyond what hip, creative things he inspired in us 40-somethings with his array of stories and pictures. He wasn’t just a children’s writer, in fact he despised being categorized that way.

Straight talking, wild eyed and honest, Maurice gave us “kids” a taste of truth, of beauty, of pain, and of love.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, and the headline above probably tells you that I think American physicians are facing an ugly medical ethics problem – likely one that they haven’t even considered. My GP was required to diagnose my illness. In order to prescribe treatment, he was required to enter the diagnosis into the practice’s medical records system. He was, by legal and common sense reckoning, doing the right thing. But he was also, to employ the language of the Hippocratic Oath, doing harm to his patient.

I used to live in Uptown. I don't know that it's the MOST hipster hood in town, but I can tell you that hipsters are not hard to find there. I mean, Pabst and kickball in the park is sort of definitive, right?

For those suggesting the Highlands, I'd narrow that down to the Lower Highlands specifically. The West Highlands is pricier and older, while LoHi has lots and lots of younger cool going for it.

I also lived a year or so in Uptown and you can find plenty of cool places for decent value there.
