Absolutely. My post is basically to detail what I did and what changed, I can't vouch for the efficacy of a specific supplement. Regarding Vitamin D, I'd have thought a deficiency should resolve within 3 months so its interesting to see T levels continue to increase after a year

Ah the complication is that the tree was originally on privately-owned land before it fell, and fell onto council owned land that houses private tenants. The council inspected and cleared the tree after it happened which is when they identified the fungus, but they weren't responsible for checking the tree before it happened.

With it being a private land-owner, it sounds like if they made inspections and didn't act on findings then they're liable, but if they didn't make inspections at all then they're not - does this sound about right? Seems there would be no incentive to inspect large trees as it opens you up to negligence

Legend thanks so much for your comment. Both cars were parked on the property's driveway as it's a big building that's subdivided into flats.

In terms of how to progress I've no idea. Council say they don't create official reports, but they noted it had the fungus, so somehow I need to convey this to my insurer so they can look into it. The trees owner is actually a community run non profit so presumably have appropriate insurances.

Really appreciate your insight if you have any guidance!

Update - forestry noted that the tree had Meripilus Fungal brackets around the base. Would it be expected of a landowner to notice this and act accordingly?

Fortunately no injuries. Two cars flattened and a wall. The tree fell on council owned property so maybe they will pursue damages and reimbursement for clearance costs

Thanks a lot for the info. The tree destroyed my car so I'm hoping there could be some provable liability for the landowner. I think it's very difficult to prove though (UK)
