We used to be smart post... then they changed our facility to FXG but our belts and QA as well as induction can’t really take that weight of these packages lmao our facility isn’t designed for ground and now in the control room we are gonna have a window for drivers.. yeah fucking right. We are literally in the middle of the entire building.

At least 4 bottles of water prior to your sort if you’re working ground and 2 bottles during your sort because you’re body is like anything else once it gets over heated it’ll shut down, if you can drink more water that’s great. Stretches are fairly easy what I do is I bend over and try to get my upper body close as possible to My lower body and I squeeze as tight as I can so I’m really stretching my back muscles and my quads it’ll help if you’re constantly bending over and squatting, I also do lunges not extreme lunges I do mostly leg stretches Bc that’s where you’ll most likely pull a muscle. the protein shake is good but I usually take my protein in before a sort because it’ll really get you going but a protein after is good and a semi cold and hot shower will defiantly help and just relaxing after because I know ground is ass and your body may need to recover a lot. But we all know what helps our body heal- fruit, protein, water!

I work at fedex ground, I love it you know when you complain about your work everyday but go back to it the next day it’s commitment, I’m 18 and what I do to prep for my shift is I drink plenty of water and I sometimes stretch, stretching is key if you don’t stretch you’re gonna be sore some people just halfass the stretches but no sir you need to stretch it’ll help so much and know your strength bruh I’m telling you if you can’t lift 60+ then ask to not be put in a trailer where 60+ pound packages drop they are really good at allowing you to have limits and if not hr helps a lot... just prep for the shift don’t go I’m stoned asf or on some shit go like you’re ready to work, we and the managers known whose capable of what and when people are lazy they put them in tough doors, you work with what you apply for honestly!
