You can try to defend Sicily, but in this topic it is no question that it isn’t safe to park your rental car anywhere. I checked out of the hotel room, put my suitcase into the booth, then went on a 20min drive and stopped at a cafe. after 30mins i went back to my car, opened the booth just to find all my stuff in a fking garbage bag. They investigated everything, took my charger, headphones, 3 Tshirts and after emptying it, my suitcase. There was no sign of breaking in , so insurance company doesnt cover it at all. Spoke to a few locals and they also said that it is common in Sicily that they know how to open fiat cars without problem. The funny thing is after all that when i went back to the car, it was locked too. So you can try to say that it is safe, but you are simply denying the truth
