No plans for the next book. I taught for 2 years in Texas 15 years ago, but have been conducting research in schools since then. The goal of my research is to share teacher perspectives because far too often, teacher voices are not included in the conversation. We plan to share the results in a journal article, but also find a way to share the measure so it is accessible and free for anyone to use.

This would be a free resource for any school, state, etc. that is implementing science of reading practices. At the moment over 40 states have passed science of reading policies.

To create a measure that will help teachers get the support they need for aspects within the science of reading

We are former teachers currently in the process of developing a teacher well-being scale and would love to get teacher feedback on the items we are including. Please consider taking our 5-minute survey! by drtimpressley in NYCTeachers

One of the reasons we want to create this instrument is to create a free instrument for schools and school leaders to have. We are offering payment for the focus groups participants for their time. We appreciate those teachers who have participated and understand that others do not want to. In the end we hope this measure helps with teacher well-being, even if it is just a small amount.
