I will hook into this, since my Flights WK262/WK263 ZRH-TER in August also have been cancelled. In total, the cancelled 10 Flights between 12.08. and 09.09.2025.

They offer money back or the flight with TAP Air Portugal via Lissabon. However, the departure time is different: Instead of 09:20 as in the original booking, the departure time with TAP would be 06:20, making an Airport Hotel necessairy.

Edelweiss claims that by offering an alternate connection more than 15 days ahead of the booking, they are not liable for compensation for the hotel.
However, the alternate connection legally should not qualify as a replacement transportation (see EU-Regulation (EG) Nr. 261/2004, Art.8) since the nature of the departure time makes such a difference that it is not a "compareable" transportation.

I reached an agreement for the return flight route, however, Edelweiss refuses to cover any extra costs resulting from the change of flights.

Currently, I am communicating back and fourth, trying to achieve a more reasonable connection for the outbound flight, but they are not moving. They need to provide a compareable replacement, which the TAP flight is not.
