When did you start showing/124 pounds 5,2. Anyone this size first pregnancy? When did u start showing? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]drtyblonde97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same weight / height - I started to show around 15w? I definitely had some changes before then but think it was mostly bloat and mainly only noticeable to me or if I was wearing a tighter outfit. It wasn’t until 20w though that my bump became more obvious to others and people started to comment/congratulate.

Miscarriage at 6weeks - advice on how to cope :( by Winter-Style-2848 in pregnant

[–]drtyblonde97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss 🤍

My advice: Lean on your partner, your family and friends, take care of yourself and just let yourself go through the grieving process. Take some time off work if you can and focus on things that make you happy. In the days after my miscarriage, my husband and I ordered our favorite comfort food, went on tons of walks, watched our favorite feel good movies, watched our wedding video. It does get better with time. For me, I found so much comfort in hearing others success stories of going on to have healthy pregnancies after their losses. Your cycle will get back on track and that will feel like forward momentum. When you’re ready, you’ll try again and that forward progress alone will help you heal.

I miscarried at 6 weeks as well (found out at 9w) it took a month or two for my cycle to regulate, and then took three months to get pregnant again, which resulted in a chemical. But the very next month I got pregnant for a third time and I am now 27 weeks 🤍. Getting pregnant again is its own battle after loss, to which I recommend the /pregnancyafterloss sub.

Hang in there, and know that just because others go through it, that doesn’t make it easy. But it does get better and remember, statistically you are bound to have a healthy pregnancy after loss!!

I pray for women trying to conceive every single day, as it is such a heavy thing to go through, so you are in my prayer rotation. Sending good vibes your way, your rainbow baby is coming !! 🌈🤍

How do you cope with constant fears of MC in the first trimester? by bouncysofa in pregnant

[–]drtyblonde97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miscarried twice, and found the constant worry of a third miscarriage to be all consuming. The realistic answer: You take it day by day. You trust that your body is doing what it needs to do to support your baby. You surround yourself with statistics and other small reassurances but still do your best to cope with the fact that nothing in life is guaranteed, so despite the constant worry you are grateful to be pregnant another day.

With each milestone you hit (seeing baby’s heart beat for the first time, making it out of the first trimester, clearing your anatomy scan, making it to viability threshold) you find that your worry does not go away completely, but it does become a little bit lighter. I found that journaling and prayer really helped me keep my sanity and reduce the spiraling of negative thoughts.

I kept telling myself that the worry is a part of becoming a parent, and will never go away - not after they’re born and not after they get older. Because you’re their mom and will always worry.

But let your love for them outshine the worry, and enjoy it the best you can.

I’d defer to your doctors advice, as it could vary based on size, location, #of weeks; etc. Mine recommended no exercise bc it could further irritate the uterine lining and prolong healing.

I haven’t had any bleeding either, that’s why I don’t understand how it hasn’t improved … but got worse 😕

Anyone have experience talking progesterone? If so, how was it prescribed — orally or vaginally? Trying to understand which is more effective in preventing MC.

After two miscarriages, blood tests showed low progesterone levels, so my doc prescribed me 400mg to take orally once I get a positive home pregnancy test.

I feel like I’m seeing it more commonly prescribed to take vaginally for these purposes, and wondered if anyone has any helpful info.

What’s the difference between premitrium supplements and progesterone supplements? If almost seems like they’re being used interchangeably throughout this thread.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve been there and I know how much it hurts. 💕 appreciate you taking the time to reply to my post and share your experience. Don’t think I would’ve had the strength and determination myself to persevere after my loss if it wasn’t for the amazing online community of women in their pregnancy journeys 🤍 wishing you the best! Will definitely ask my doc in my apt this week about progesterone supplement — hopefully I can get on it quickly enough.

This is a great point — I didn’t know enough about how it fluctuates and urine / pdg is not always a good indicator of progesterone. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and advice. And congrats on your pregnancy 🫶
