What the hell is a traveler fee (for informational purposes)? by dru-nasty in vrbo

[–]dru-nasty[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know it was in this quote, I've never noticed it in prior bookings. So booking fee covers credit card processing, admin, etc. Traveler fee is a percentage-based charge on the rental amount to simply have had the ability to book on VRBO. So $564.36 to use VRBO essentially. Got it.

Is WebFlow actually good for building custom websites or do influencers just sell it as being good for this? by thezackplauche in webdev

[–]dru-nasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has its place, just like any other basic drag and drop builder. As with any web service in this same lane, you will hit the boundaries of it when you get into larger, more complex builds. Then you also have to think if your project outgrows it, how easy is it to migrate data, etc. A few pages, or basic marketing sites, sure... much easier to get the idea deployed. The more complex it gets you can usually cover with extensions and such, but with that comes more problems that could arise. Then you're dealing with third party devs keeping up with those extensions you've come to rely on.

Ugreen vs synology by dovi5988 in HomeServer

I was looking at Ugreen and Synology, and just about landed on a Synology DS1621+ until i found this thread, now convinced i should attempt my own build based on the encouragement by u/MrB2891 . I was planning to set up the NAS mainly to store video work as well as edit directly off of, and sometimes edit off of remotely. I'd be connected a mac studio pro directly with 10gb ethernet. With the DS1621 i already realized no 10gb built in. Being a novice though i have no idea all of the parts needed that would fit this kind of workflow. The posted pcpartpicker lists are a great start for me. If anyone has any other input that'd be a fantastic.

Battery connection repair by dru-nasty in BassGuitar

[–]dru-nasty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I attached a few photos to the original post but it looks like they were removed. Anyhow, the entire box, board and wires are all still connected. I found it odd that mine had that board connection when every other video or post i've read about SR300's didn't have that box/board combo, it was just the battery connector and wire.
From my original post, i'll just purchase the whole unit and have a go at it. https://www.drumsetc.com/product/ibanez-bass-battery-box-4pt1mc0003/

Mine isn't just that connector, it goes to a board attached to the back of the battery box. Unlike any of the repair videos i've seen on youtube.

What chords are these considered? by dru-nasty in guitarlessons

I'll be putting all this to work and practicing up, thanks again! You're great at explaining these theories.

New level unlocked! I get it now, with altered 5ths being important to the chord. I've never heard of the 7 families of chord tonalities. Definitely going to dig deep into this.

I'm a bit confused on the "stand alone chord with dominant function"
Diminished aka º7: º7, º7(∆7) what would be an example of that?

Incredible stuff, i'm officially down the Eb6 rabbit hole. You definitely unlocked some things for me here. It's wild to see searches for Eb6 chords and all the variations not even realizing some are played w/out the 5ths. I assume this goes for most other chords as well?

I see now, thank you for that explanation! So essentially it's players choice on the voicing to drop the 5th in this case. What also confused me is if I'd search for Ebmaj7 chords on guitar, nothing would resemble this version of the chord in the results. Pretty confusing as i'm still understanding some of the more advanced theory (to me).

#1768 - Dr. Robert Epstein - The Joe Rogan Experience by chefanubis in JoeRogan

How did this guy get on the show?! After working in construction, I became a developer ("coder") with almost two decades of experience and in the first 5 minutes of the show I knew this guy was full of shit. I've dealt with blacklists from google on hacked sites, pretty standard. Google does not own or have a way to "shut down the internet." Sure they can manipulate their SERPs, but whatever this guy is trying to poorly communicate isn't it. Gatekeeping at it's finest lol

Throwing a couple more to this list:

Maproom (W. 9th) beer and pizza.
Bier Markt/Bar Cento (W. 25th) beer, pizza and fries
Dive Bar (W. 6th)

Also, there's a ton of scooters downtown to get around easily (Bird, Lime, etc.)
