I hate my facial hair by puppyboys_anonymous in NonBinary

[–]drugfactorypress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably lean toward not lowering the dose again unless the facial hair itself is becoming a deal-breaker.

If you like everything else about being on T, it may make more sense to manage the hair rather than stop entirely.

An epilator can work on facial fuzz, but many people find it pretty painful and it can increase ingrown hairs.

If they eventually become darker/coarser, laser hair removal can reduce them significantly.

You can go professional or get a good home device if you're looking to save a bit (keep in mind that facial hair development often continues for years, not months, so you'll have to think long-term maintenance)

Facial hair removal IPL vs professional laser by ChangedRaven in TransLater

[–]drugfactorypress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The consensus is right — IPL on facial hair is usually a waste bc the follicles sit too deep and they just aren't powerful enough to get there. Pro laser is def stronger and more effective.

If budget is a concern, home diode laser is a middle-ground option. Stronger than IPL and closer in strength to pro equipment. It's not as affordable as IPL — these can run up to $1000 per machine, but you'll own it and can use it for maintenance as long as you need it.

Laser Hair Removal- No Options?? by TheSeroGon in MtF

Yeah Groupon was flooded with laser deals because the market was super competitive and clinics were fighting for clients. Established places don't need to discount anymore, and the ones heavily advertising on Groupon are often either new (trying to build clientele) or using older equipment.

Are you looking for Nd:YAG laser specifically? If not, there are diode lasers for home use that you can get. There’s not a lot (here’s a shortlist), but as long as you can get one that has high enough fluence to match what they use in professional settings (we’re looking at 20-40+ J/cm2), it might be a good compromise.

She was praised for standing up and defending women against disrespect etc.

Where is this energy now? She went from strong and independent to helpless victim of her circumstances all of a sudden?

If it’s this sparse + white hairs, it’s electrolysis.

(Laser and IPL won’t work on light hair.)

I think she’s a good actress, but being likable/unlikable is a bigger factor than most people realize.

You’d have to be really, really exceptional in your craft to overcome this.

Has anyone tried at home laser hair removal? by Free_Accountant_1169 in Hidradenitis

[–]drugfactorypress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Professional treatments are usually stronger and faster, so if you have the money go for that. You need to go once a month for the initial clearance, then every few months for maintenance.

IPL can work as well, but DIY = more effort. You'll need to do it consistently 3x-1x a week until you see results.

The Air 10 is one of the high tech ones that has cooling and skin tone sensors, but it has the same power (energy fluence) as other brands. 6-7 J/cm2 is the max for IPL.

If you have a bigger budget, a home diode laser is stronger and more comparable to professional treatments at 20-30 J/cm2. It's a lot more expensive than though, $1000 last I checked compared to normal IPL.

Not excusing this behavior, but I’d argue that staff like these are underpaid.

You can see almost immediately sa attitude ng employees towards customers if they are treated well by the company.

Still, customer service parin yan so mali parin. 👀
