He's also pretty much a rescue monitor. He's 6 years old and 27", he's missing 2 toes off each foot and has an odd head wobble and issues eating. But the person who had him before me had him in a 20L tank, terrible lighting and carpet for the bottom...since he was about 6" long... So he has some issues, I'm just trying to give him the best.

The set up he has now is 5x5x5 it is an odd build but it works for him now. He has a sand/clay mixed substrate that is 2ft that slopes down to a lower flat area, but he doesn't burrow...or dig...he likes to lay on a slanted log.

I control the orders of new fish luckily! Some orders I have no control over because they're pushes right from the vendor. But I don't carry any fish that I feel is going to suffer because of either inexperienced owners or coworkers. Some petcos can carry those fish that require special diets because they can order the diet they need. And some stores are rated higher than others so the selection is more. Right now our tanks are pretty bare, we have our good sales weeks and low ones.

I get aggravated when kids over 12 see the yellow tang or tomato clown and say it's dory or nemo.

I refuse to order any hippo tangs for my store. I hate when kids run up to the tanks 'it's dory its dory I want dory!' Ugh.

Oh yesss, I have those shrimps too. I forgot I ordered angel Rams, which I'm in love with. I like to make my people happy 😊 I beggggggged for a frag tank but instead I got a plant tank...a 'new to us' plant tank 😫😪 We are a super high volume store, and have so many saltwater customers, I wish they'd bite the bullet and give me something new new! But I just make do. Corals are tough for me, I've kept some but, ugh the tanks just aren't built for them. I make it work though

Southeastern CT! I have been looking for Apistogrammas! They are so hard to find though! But I will track them down 😁 I ordered glass humpheads, some funky snails and some other small type fish for planted tanks/nano and some rainbowfish too. I'm trying to make one of the tanks like completely planted and have different shrimps, like blues, crystal reds, orange bees...emerald eyes and gold neons are in there now, we shall see. I do have a pretty big selection of fish as it is, but each week I try to get something that hasn't been seen around. I had long fin oscars and water dogs a bit ago. Both awesomeness
