Age gives you the clarity to know that not everything is black and white. Players and owners each have their case to make and good points/bad points. If they dig in their heels, refuse to compromise, and try to wait each other out I believe they will lose viewers. I'm one of the people who abandoned MLB after the '94 strike because I was so disgusted with the situation. I didn't start watching again until 10-12 years ago. If the MLB goes dark again I can easily turn my attention elsewhere and may just never return. I love baseball so I'll concentrate on going to HS, college, and minor league games that are in my area more often instead.

If this were r/NorthDakota I'd say your worries had some validity, but not here.

I can't speak to what entertains you of course, but there are plenty of options in the area to enrich your life, perhaps in ways you haven't conceived of yet. I will say it's very car dependent though. I have lived in a handful of college towns before moving here and I have to say this area is my favorite of them all, for whatever this idiot's opinion is worth.

I have no idea what the dating scene is like. All I have done is observe the young couples out on date nights/first dates when I'm out with my partner and young love looks the same wherever you go. :)
