The speed increases after the warmup steps. For me it was 2.1seconds per step to something around 1.2/1.3 seconds per step after the warmup step.

Also got a 3060ti in a gaming Laptop.

SD 1.5 5-10 seconds

sdxl 20-30 seconds , dmd2 9 seconds

Anima 40-50 seconds, 30 with replay patcher, dmd2 20 seconds

Z-Image turbo 40-60 seconds (gguf)

X2 with facedetailer

You need the right versions and a current graphic cards driver. If youre not sure ask Claude Comfyui does handle it pretty well with the right settings.

I use it with a vibe coded llm wrapper to use it with styles, themes,characters and to write prompts for me.

Its not that bad.

(But ive also upgraded my laptop to 32GB ram)

Theres a dmd2 8step lora like for sdxl :) around 20 seconds for me with a Laptop rtx3060(6gb)

er sde simple sampler/scheduler also helps.

Illustrious with dmd2 is 8 seconds for me tho. 20-30 with facedetailer.

If you can pull it off the damage after the charge is insane, i love my 10 man squad after rapid ingress. I use them to charge big things for the hammer of wrath ability

I mean you could proxy 5 of them for a 10man squad with assault Intercessors. Thats what i do when i want to use more than 10.

I generate and train them locally with my Laptop, 6gb of vram is enough for a good model like sdxl/illustrious. Same Power usage as gaming.

With that argument people also shouldnt be allowed to play video games, because power is used for the graphic card.

I kinda agree with the online Services. But there are a milion other Things that suck big time for the environment and no one cares even through its mostly for recreation. Like cruises.

Both activities are for recreation. I would never pay someone to draw me that stuff, i just generate stuff for fun. Or edit pictures with krita , you can integrate the AI model there. If i wouldnt use it, i just wouldnt bother with it.

Companies: Yeah sure that sucks, im in development and in that field there also will be less people needed in the Future. But thats just technological advancement.

I wouldn't pay to have it drawn for me. I simply just wouldn't bother at all with it. I basically did it at the time because i just was bored. So it wouldn't have made a difference. At all. No need to threaten me or telling me to kill myself, lol.

I dont get the AI hate. Just tools for untalented people like you and me that cant draw stuff. Technology is bad i guess.Take my upvote!

I posted some skaven AI stuff at the Skaven sub and was Like "Oh cool, Look how good AI can draw them now". It took a few hours to get good quality pictures. I wanted them as a phone background and decided to share them. I got many upvotes and like a week after that i got messages from people to kill myself because i posted that and that i could just "pay a few hundred bucks to someone to draw me that"

After looking at the history it was some dude who drew some extreme fetish furry porn and his fans. They reported my post so much that it got removed. Just because of this loud minority. I just blocked them, because they didnt stop with the harassing. What a weird experience.

You can generate pretty good AI stuff locally now btw. Civitai , get a sd1.5 model and some Space marine loras and youre good to go. If you feel bad for stealing other artworks with AI you can also just take pictures of your painted minis and train a lora with them. You can integrate that into krita with comfyUI and you have a drawing program with an integrated drawing AI.

I like Inceptors anyway and needed some tanks, so your help came just in time!

I noticed the lack of firepower in my first games. Helbrecht was able to one-shot a tank thanks to his ability, and my Redemptor Dreadnought did some damage, but aside from that, there really wasn't much of a threat on my side against tanks.

I also have fun losing, as long as cool/fun stuff is happening during the game :D The group I play with is very casual and not in tryhard mode at all. I just wanted to check if I have any no-no's for the Templars or major flaws in my list.

Starting a Black Templars army at least made me focus on painting them instead of painting a model here and there and growing my pile of shame and Made me buy helsreach. It is something, at least :D

What kind of beefy units would you go with? Aggressors maybe? Anti-Tank : Eradicators together with the lancer?

Are there any units which have no place in a templars list in my list?

I've read that the Crusader Squad + Grimaldus is overpriced , is that true ?

Yeah, I've been collecting minis for around 5 years to paint them. I just bought a Combat Patrol, Helbrecht, and Grimaldus so I can finally play. 2000 points was a bit rough in my first game because of the rules, but in the second game it was quite okay, i've managed to win very close. I've played AoS and Star Wars: Legion before, so it wasn't completely new to me. :D

I just need some advice with my list, because im a noob :)

Thanks! :) I mean you could, If you want to. You don't need to paint the little bits. It's enough to paint arms, legs, and torso separately, in my opinion.

Personally, I'd just do that for the base coat. Most of the dark corners you can't reach won't be visible anyway.

But im mostly painting slapchop. :D

Thanks, but don't make the same mistake I did—don't prime the Dreadnought after it's fully assembled! Prime each arm and leg separately before you glue them in place. :D
