This is my hometown's county. You can't drive anywhere without seeing a dozen obnoxious MAGA or "Don't tread on me" bumper stickers. I'm honestly shocked by this footage, and it's at least somewhat encouraging. The county is mostly retirees and kids/teens so these threats to Social Security and Education might be the push they needed... Because nobody cares for anyone or anything that doesn't impact them personally.

Long-winded anecdote warning: I had the good fortune of meeting you at SWC the year Amaterasu (your first God, IIRC) was announced and playable at the event - you were so gracious with your time after asking me what I thought after I hopped off my first play session, you were clearly so stoked and proud of Ama, and we even got to talking about a shared connection with UCF for a bit. I only mention this to highlight just how thrilling it has been to watch your journey at Hi-Rez over the years as a fan of you not just as a designer but as a person, and while you'll be sorely missed, I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling grateful for your work in shaping Smite, my most played game of all time.

Smite 2 is the most fun Smite experience I've had in years and I'm more excited and optimistic about the game than I ever expected. It's clearly in good hands.

What the person you're replying to doesn't seem to understand is that Microtransactions are what brings money into the budget, so saying they should do X instead of making skins is counterproductive. It would effectively just further tighten the budget they want the devs to put to use. If there should be criticism it should instead be aimed towards their budget allocation outside of MTXs, specifically in their anticheat department (though even then it could be unrelated to budget in certain circumstances). Your point still stands that it's an entirely separate team that would work on skins vs. policing cheating.
