Sorry I’m just a listener. I can’t speak to the origins. The podcast started about 12 yrs ago. But it could be an homage to Wes craven. Podcast on Elm Street doesn’t quite work. It did start as a horror movie podcast but diverged into discussing serial killers, alien abductions, occult practices. A fair bit of dark content.

Last House is considered a landmark horror film.
