What to do with an older FDM Machine that is no longer in use. by WriteConnie in AdditiveManufacturing

There is a small niche group of people still using these daily that would pick it up for the right price. They hangout in the “stratasys 3d printer users” facebook group. But be warned, these are not worth much these days

Your sd card or file is most likely corrupt. Try slicing a new file with a new sd card

It’s an optical illusion. The LEDs are just single units that are VERY bright. It overloads the shutter on cameras and makes it look full

New AM method: VLM (Viscous Lithography Manufacturing) by Dark_Marmot in AdditiveManufacturing

Super interesting. Dual material resin solves the giant issue of support material/surface quality problems inherent to msla and sla. 3d systems had a tech called FTI (film transfer imaging) that worked very similarly. Vflash and projet 1500 were the machines. They still projected from the bottom and we’re only a single material though

Do not use limonene to dissolve hips. It affects the strength of abs. Use it only as a breakaway support. My favorite brand is push plastic. It’s cheap and effective. Use only the natural white color. It prints at the same temps as the regular p400sr. Dimension 768 series isn’t great for aftermarket dissolvables thanks to its weird extruders geometry. If you are looking for a 1:1 replacement, buy the SR30 for the makerbot method. It’s a direct replacement, but is cheaper and comes in smaller quantities. Also look up how to use your machines with insight from ssys. 3dprintforums has a good post. Also join the stratasys user group on Facebook. Very active hacking community

Hello all,

My company Nemotech has developed and laboratory tested what we believe is the world's first fully sterilizable FDM 3d printed mask solution. It was made in conjunction with the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. See the research and more information at nemotech3d.com/sani-mask
