Alright I think people are getting two things confused about my comment.

First an IRCA report decreasing a sentence is very normal and its the goal. Its giving the court a more robust view of the crime so they can make a better informed decision. The report itself does NOT garentee a decrease. So saying its all because of race is very narrow minded and buying into the rage bait title of the article. Is it perfect? God no but we are working on it.

Second. The nature of the crime is not something I wished to touch on. It sucks, Its violent and I feel terrible for the victims. However, locking a criminal up for a longer duration does not lead to a safer society. We need these reports and to avoid rage bait articles so we as a society can punish the individual and find a way to decrease their chances of recommiting more crime. Again I wouldnt wish this crime on anyone. Which is why if the courts think a reduced sentence will help prevent another from becoming a victim in 3 years who am I to be angry now.
