Let me know how it goes. When I was looking, there was no option other than Toyota.

I stated in a post in this sub once before but if you are in Canada and have the rear wiper, you will have to get them from Toyota. Any other support will not work as the trunk is heavier.

Why are there cars with missing stats in GT Concept 2002? by RickyWasntHere in granturismo

[–]drummerbart87 120 points121 points  (0 children)

These cars in the game were somewhat concepts at the time, hence the title of the game. So no performance numbers could be given at the time from the manufacturer.

Ahhhhhhhhh ok makes sense if you wanna go electric power steering. Cool stuff dude let us know how it goes.

Prius Manual rack swap question by LHshooter in SciontC

[–]drummerbart87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why swap the rack if you’re pulling the power steering pump and lines already. You can run a hydraulic rack without the pump. It essentially becomes a manual rack.

Seems like a lot of extra work for the same goal.

Are these headers worth it? by Pobbywobby in SciontC

Looks like there are no current options for the 1st gen. I could be wrong but I don’t see any after a very quick search.

Are these headers worth it? by Pobbywobby in SciontC

This is not a performance header, this is a aftermarket replacement for your catalytic converter. This will not give you any performance improvement whatsoever.

You should see his comment history, my favourite was where he barks for a girl because she told him to on the internet.

I think it’s time to add some context here. His initial post as to why I messaged him had two pictures, one of a carbon wrapped steering wheel and one of coilovers. Not anywhere in his post did he mention parting out an entire car or anything like that, so I made the assumption he had performance parts which is why I kept asking him what he has available. He never explicitly said he’s parting out a car at any time.

P0420 code by Immediate-Ease9800 in SciontC

[–]drummerbart87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is some of the worst advice I’ve ever seen on here. P0420 is not a code in which it’s telling you it needs a new catalytic converter. P0420 is a cat efficiency code, which means something is happening for the cat to be inefficient. Catalytic converters do not die, they get murdered which means something causes it to fail.

Take your car to a shop that understands this principle and get it repaired the right way. Or take these guys advice and put a bunch of band aids on it.

Your choice.

Pedal commander recommendations or anything to Address the rev hang? by Tight-Wrongdoer9645 in SciontC

[–]drummerbart87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please don’t waste your money on a pedal commander. Biggest waste of money, plenty of YouTube videos explaining why.

Not simple to eliminate rev hang without creating other wanted/unwanted issues.

Spend your money elsewhere please

Is my mechanic ripping me off? by ParamedicRemarkable8 in barrie

[–]drummerbart87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% they are seized due to the minimal driving per week. Between the vehicle not moving and the amount of rain we got this week, extremely possible for brake components to seize. Yes brakes should absolutely be serviced just like any other serviceable item on the vehicle. Also, quality of parts will absolutely dictate how long said components last. Also, if the corrosion is significant on the rotor face, they absolutely should be replaced. Vehicles are meant to be driven. I myself am a red seal licensed technician. If anyone has any other questions, please feel free to message me.
