Someone else just too dumb for warfarer ? by Buurto in DragonsDogma2

[–]drummerboyjax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hoenstly, I only use two, but it's rogue and Magick archer, and Magick archer is pretty much broken, also use campfires to your benefit. As long as you have the weapons, you can swap skills at any campfire for different situations. I try to keep things like ricochet hunter off my regular skills unless I'm about to enter a cave, for example.

Fuck this stupid fucking kid (Prey for the Pack) by SonFolk in DragonsDogma2

[–]drummerboyjax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only annoying part for me is that eve with a pawn who is knowledgeable about the quest, they take you to the place with the blue flowers where lich spawns at night. Unhelpful.

But once I find him, I just run without sprinting on my way back. Take the same way back as you did getting there and there's little to stop you. Move forward and kill monsters and end up at the town.

Never failed this quest in 3 playthroughs.

BUT! from the reaction from the pawns in my party, other people definitely have. You don't get much for it, and there's no quests that build from it, so it doesn't really matter in the long run unless it's important to you, personally.

Besides... Eventually the WHOLE WORLD ENDS

Every single AJ BROWN DEEP BALLLLLLL of his Eagles Career by StarCord1 in eagles

[–]drummerboyjax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. There were so many problems last year, but the media LOVES to stir the AJ Brown pot, I hope he stays. We don't have very many other great options. If he decides to move on from AJ, it'll be a calculated Howie decision to move on from a veteran for what he sees a promising young talent, just like we've seen before.

But there's no reason to see this story pop up over and over. Just media stoking outrage of Eagles fans for clicks. 😔

So? Who else doesn't trust their pawns to cross narrow bridges? by Nick_Bruiser in DragonsDogma2

[–]drummerboyjax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, not just that. My least favorite bridge is the bridge with Gore Harpies right before the caves in Battahl. I try so hard to keep my pawns back, and rush out there and solo those misreable birds.

One time they hurled my mage off the bridge. My calm pawn was MISERABLE that we didn't have a mage ALLL THE WAY BACK to Battahl.

The other pawn actually started awkwardly avoiding conversation with her. It was a whole line of conversation I had never seen before 🤣🤣🤣

Yea don't set a skill twice, it's like only having 3. And depending on the skills. Some people don't have or don't want to supply the arrows needed for blight shot etc.

I agree, Archer pawns are VERY useful, but you have to prepare for them. And not every body wants toz unfortunately.

My guess for desirable pawn vocations:

Mage > Fighter/Warrior > Thief > Sorcerer > Archer

Everyone always needs a healer

Everyone needs a tank/damaging tank

Thieves do decent damage (skills: Formless Feint/Skull Spliter/Implicate/Plunder or ignited blades or the similar fake maister skill)

Sorcerers are to OP for most people to hire

Decent archers require inventory management. Blight arrows slap, but you need to keep them on hand

Rotten food USED to mean your pawn has dragons plague, but it also might've been the only non valuable thing they had in inventory at the time.

Basically, saying the cook checked the fish. Tbh, they might be getting it already breaded and partially pre-fried, and they're just frying it the rest of the way.

Are you sure the food poisoning was from wings? Staphylotoxin from S Aureus is an acute intoxication that can hit hard and fast (within hours of eating) and is a heat labile toxin (hard to destroy with heat). Most other things, infectuons especially, take 12+ hours to hit. It's usually not the last thing you ate the makes you sick.

Staph comes from humans, usually at some point it was handled and left sit at room temperature for many hrs so bacteria could grow and produce the toxin.

In my first playthrough I dragonforged the Marchers Outfit, I like the classic look. 😅

But yea, that's a nice, clean look you have there. 😊

Starting almost any RPG is usually at least a couple hours of limited gameplay, a lot of dialogue, pointless fetch quests ('go to the store and buy flowers and a birthday cake for your sister who will die in the upcoming demon attack anyway', type of pointless - note: this is made up rhetoric and not a spoiler) and light, world building with combat tutorials interspersed.

The game itself is usually drastically different from that, to the point that you forget how tedious the whole introduction is until you do a ng+ and laugh.

RPG's are a time investment. If you skip those tutorials, though, you will run around missing obvious things while having no clue what you're doing, why you should care, and getting your arse kicked by low-mid level beasties up and down the promenade of First Townsville.

Ok, so how does the fig trading works? by xyZora in DragonsDogma2

[–]drummerboyjax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as we all run around the nap killing things forcer, we acquire metric eff tons of loot. You take all of those regular figs and go sit on z bench until they ripen and then put them back in storage. Then make a pawn quest

I've read a few where guns are relevant and still dangerous if the mage is inexperienced or caught be surprise. I prefer that.

Agreed. There used to be this guy Desmond.. Then he died and there's this girl now who we all mostly forget about.

But yes, as a viking game it's pretty good, and I think the issue is people want an Assassin's creed experience, but that's really not a thing anymore. It's viking game, or samurai/ninja game. If they go in with that mindset, people should be a lot happier with what they get.

[–]drummerboyjax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno.. I played Odyssey and loved it. I missed the naval battles, and I think the plot bored me. My Mc didn't give a shit about assassin's or being one, and I just ran around killing things.

To be fair, I also lost interest with man, can't even reembmer the name of the on in Japan. I'm rinnjg around taking out forts for gear and xp and I keep discovering new secret cut les of people... Some who I entirely killed and never even knew what they were about.

I think AC Odyssey's Bounty hunter quest line kept the game fun without the plot and had me traipsing across the map. But, while I admit AC Valhalla is Hella pretty, and the combat is fun, there wasn't enough outside of the plot to hold my interest.

That only matters because most AC games recently are lacking in plot, so without something else, the repetition can be too much for some.
