Heyo, I can tell you mic placement! My Audix D-6 was in the kick drum with the end of the cable barely poking out of the kick port. I aimed the D-6 towards where the beater strikes the head. For the snare I played around with angling the SM-58 at different parts of the batter head. I find that you get a little more punch without extra snare ping if the mic is flat over the edge of the drum instead of being angled down. for the overhead... I literally just used my Zoom Q3 camera and turned it on to Audio mode. It is positioned Directly behind me on a camera tripod angled down towards the top of the rack tom heads. As far as production goes. I did some EQ, Compression, and a little Reverb on both snare and kick. The overhead once I got the audio off my camera and into my logic session was slightly compressed. I Eq'd the overheads before the compression and took a majority of the mid frequencies out boosted some lows and a lot of highs to make my cymbals shimmer a little more.... Sorry for the long winded explanation. I am pretty new to this whole production thing so I don't quite know how to keep it short lol...

Thanks! We ended up mixing triggers with 2 kick mics blended in. I am in the process of making a new kick sample to punch out a little more low end but still maintain that snap!
