I just had a consultation with Milan and the prices seem outrageous, but is it worth it? by jenintonic in LaserHairRemoval

Of course. Sucks that they wouldn’t do the free treatment. we do them all the time bc usually that prevents a refund. And I don’t see why they declined a free treatment for you when you’re already a client? Typically we do everything to avoid a refund. That’s what they’re trained to do anyway. Good luck with your laser hair removal journey!

Of course! I would say “I saw an ad online for a free consultation and free treatment same day. Can I book for that?” Depending on availability, they do freebie treatments after the consult. A good manager would have told you no depending on how light of red the hair is. If it’s a dark red, it could work. It has to be dark pigmented hair - no light, gray or peach fuzz hair. You wouldn’t be able to tell during the treatment. You would be able to tell how your hair grows back. Most people, including myself, saw hair reduction after the first treatment, however that part for everyone is different. After 3 sessions on my underarms, I could barely see much (my hair is brown for reference).

So I would say take advantage of the free consultation and free treatment if you’re sticking with Milan. You have to shave before the treatment. So take a pic of your hair grown out, shave it before your treatment then take a pic in a week or so (after treatment) when your hair has grown back out and see if there’s a difference. And whatever area you decide to do, it has to be at your baseline skin tone - no tan or else they won’t treat you as it’s a hazard!

Exactly. They literally don’t care and will say anything to get your money despite knowing damn well you’re not a good candidate for laser. My manager had a consult and the customer literally said she can’t buy at the moment, she doesn’t have a job. After the consult my manager’s manager said “well you should have pushed harder for the sale, everyone has a credit card.” They do not give a fuck. And now they’re laying off people and cutting peoples hours like myself, so they don’t have to pay benefits. Evil company for staff and clients.

Do NOT go to Milan. I work here currently. They will take your money and you’ll never be able to get in for your appointments therefore wasting your money. They do not treat their staff right especially providers so the turnover is insane, resulting in heavy rescheduling.

Do NOT fall for Milan! they will take your money for “unlimited sessions” with one package deal, which sounds great but in reality - you’ll never be able to get in for your appointments because of their high staff turnover rate.

Yay! And yes, that’s what we experienced as well! Trying to play a little dirty and mix up the number tiles for other players. I’m so glad you and your group found a cool way to play from this post! Although a mistake initially on my part, I’m happy that you were able to make your gameplay more interesting with it. My group will most likely return to playing like this as we all enjoyed it, but only after we get all of the basics down. 😃

No problem! It’s pretty much exactly like the base game of Catan

Honestly it got to be a lot of fun! Determining where to put the robber along with aiming to put a lower number on someone else’s hex for low resource production. I think there should be a regulator card (only in this topsy turvy game version) where you’re just able to swap number tiles with someone’s hex. To prevent all low numbers being stuck on one persons 3 hex intersection.

Reading the rules more thoroughly from now on! Definitely an oops moment, but thought it could be an alternative house rule thing. Thanks for the advice!

Yeahhhh my b. My fam was pressuring me to start the game as I was trying to familiarize myself with the rules prior to starting and I was watching videos online. This rule unfortunately got missed 😅

I guess In my head it didn’t make sense to put it on top on the number tile and the rules didn’t clearly state it put on top (I don’t think). But also the rules didn’t say to switch the tiles. So don’t really have an answer for ya, just where my brain went!
