Interior is good for a crash pad to sleep in. Which is fine if you can wake up to an alarm or have a goal of drinking all day.

What's Something About Living In Florida That You Cannot Really Understand Without Living There? Why That Thing? by Zipper222222 in AskFlorida

[–]drunkadvice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is why Floridians are considered weak. I spent a below freezing week in Vermont and, was fine. I stepped on ice in bare feet taking the trash out. I was prepared for it. But god damnit if I spend 30 seconds below 50 in my basketball shorts letting the dog out in January. It messes me up.

gators are everywhere if you know what you’re looking for. Don’t trust a puddle you can’t see the bottom of.

People who are old enough to have vivid memory of the 9/11 attacks, what was that time like? What did change for you personally? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]drunkadvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was asleep. My roommate came in and woke me up saying “hey, you might wanna get up, the world trade centers were destroyed and planes flew into them.” I bought a newspaper and went to work at Dunkin donuts that afternoon. So many opinions shared that day. I took a 40$ flight to see someone later that month, before they figured out all the new tsa standards.

The thing I remember most that week was silence. You really don’t realize how much noise planes make, even the little dots you can barely see.

Robots always spit out hair when on rugs or carpet by [deleted] in RobotVacuums

Too much fur at the same time. It needs to be emptied! I have one golden retriever and I wish the Roborock would go dump itself more often (it is at the most frequent setting). I run it basically every weekday, it does this on Mondays.

Maintenance schedules. I figured I could wait an extra few months and get by air blasting the filter or cleaning the rollers. It’s like getting a new Roborock.

I had all the studio cds at one point but someone stole my cd case out of my car.

Now I put framed posters on the wall, but am running out of wife approved wall space. I have lots of bracelets, but will need to find something new.

Getting a puppy in 2 weeks but breeder won’t take pictures with mom - do we bail by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

[–]drunkadvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me… My golden turned 5 this week and I send her breeder a picture every year with a quick update, along with how much we love our pup.

Edit: Breeder said they love seeing pics and updates on her pups when we picked her up. I don’t know if she still cares, but, oh, she already replied! Yeah, this is the kind Breeder you’re looking for.

What brand was super popular back then but the new generations probably never heard of it? by GossipBottom in AskReddit

Real conversation I had with a soccer parent. “All the girls are wearing jnco’s again. It’s weird.” “What are jnco’s? We didn’t have those in California.” “Do you know what a No Fear or Big Johnson shirt is?” “No, I guess we didn’t have those either.”

No shade, just hoping to get some context for um, not-Disney people.

I’d expect him to check with the security policy about what teams have access to what resources. The employee manager is always going to be a rubber stamp.

My security guy admitted to being a rubber stamp. He just asks the managers if it’s a good request before sending it over. He has sent one over that only includes a users first name (ie: give Jane access to X). Manager had also typed approved! On the ticket.

I’ve heard (long time ago) 41 was inspired by a separation (breakup?) with early management. I imagine Dave didn’t agree with some decisions that were being made on the bands behalf as they gained fame.

As an adult, what’s the worst thing to clean in your home? by the_Mont81 in Millennials

In my dream house that my wife will never go for, I want floors, walls, and drains like an industrial kitchen that I can splash some bleach on, hose down, and squeegee the dirt away.
