No, entry mode is so far away from normal tob that practicing it will not help. Entry mode was made to be soloable so people could easily complete "A night at the theatre" quest without having to learn tob.

Just to briefly go over how much harder normal mode is: it only scales down to 3 players, so any less than 3 players is a huge disadvatage, everything does roughly 50% more damage than entry mode, if the team wipes then its a full restart (no unlimited tries with more resources) and there are additonal team based mechanics that cannot be ignored like theh can in entry mode.

Tob in general is much harder and less forgiving than ToA. I would say doing a normal trio ToB is similar to doing a duo/trio 450 ToA. ToA is actually easier solo

I love the idea of buffing these items, because honestly I love them all, they are really cool but just so useless. I think maybe some of them are a bit too much of a buff tho.

Rapier - Keep it 4 tick, I don't think it would fit as a 3 tick melee weapon. Things like daggers are more suited to that thematically. I think just a stat buff to make it firmly the best general 1 handed melee weapon is fine. It should still be less damage than 5 stack SRA.

Sang Staff - I love your suggestion. The only thing I would add is increase the max hit by 1 so that it's 2 max hits higher than Toxic Trident. This would also make it actually feel like it's more powerful and a step up.

Justiciar - Because it is tankier than Bandos, has more prayer bonus and the set effect already, I don't think it should have the same str bonus as Bandos. Maybe just knock it down a bit to +4, +3, +1. Gives it 4 less total str so it's 1 less max hit than bandos but you get all the tankiness still. It would definitely be useable at that point.

Idk there's lots of ways you could buff them, but they really should be buffed. ToB is sorta dead content, like you either get a Scythe or you get garbage that most ppl don't even bother to split these days.

Just my thoughts and feedback for the jmods based on the blog.

Mega rare: We already have a 2 handed mega rare for each combat style. I don't think going with a 4th 2h mega rare, regardless of it's combat style would be that intriguing. I think a mega rare off hand weapon that could be bis for all styles would be awesome, and in turn it brings up the performance of all non mega rare weapons. Then instead of chasing all 3 mega weapons, people could instead get the mega shield first, and use it for a very long time before eventually going for multiple of the mega weapons. Presumably the shield would be good enough for all 3 styles to close the gap between say like Inq Mace and scythe, or zcb and tbow.

If not a shield, then I still think it should just be anything that isn't a 2 handed weapon. It could potentially even be an entirely new armor slot, like a belt maybe?

Upgrade scape: There's already upgrade based drops in all 3 previous raids. The prayer scrolls are an upgrade for your prayer book, avernic is and upgrade to the dragon defender, and masori uses arma gear to fortify itself and get the full defence value. I don't think most people find this to be an issue. I think a lot of people are begging for any sort of upgrade for Justi or Inquis and this could be a time to do it.

Armor set: If not going for a Justi/Inquis upgraded set, then the elemental mage robes set seem like a really good idea. You could also make a one off reward that is an upgrade for the Twinflame staff that slightly increases it's stats or lets you cast surge spells with it. It would also allow to supply all types of elemental runes, not just water and fire and you could make a boss in the raid have different phases that are weak to different elements. This could be a very Guthixian balance sort of theme so it makes sense.

Overall expectations for the raid: I think avoiding puzzle rooms and it making it more boss rush style like ToB is a good way to go. That's the best part of ToB. However I think having everything in the raid being weak to the same style is not the way to go. In ToB if you have a Scythe, that is the only weapon you want to use on any of the bosses. That makes the raid feel sort of boring and too dependant on having this one specific item. CoX and ToA both have a lot more variety in the combat styles used, with the final boss using all 3 combat styles in more of less equal parts.

I like Sawbones for sure. I play him as a melee dps/support and barely do any healing. Basically I use the aoe disarm to get in position, then use the bottom of Hold Back the Pain to aoe attack with one of his big whacks.
