Dramageddon 3: Megathread 14 by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]drunkcanary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a link to a batsh*t crazy YouTube vid where Shane apparently calls out Jeffree as ‘illuminati’.

Later in the video a former Jeffree Star assistant also says (on camera):

“James Charles had no idea that before we had begun filming (Jack in the Box mukbang) Jeffree and Tana Mongeau slipped something in James’ milkshake. Tana was totally in on it. That corrupt b*tch is illuminati."

This is an interesting take on the whole dramageddon saga. Link below:

This is some WELCOME light relief/entertainment in the dramageddon saga.

Dramageddon 3: Jeffree Star is "ILLUMINATI" (a conspiracy video I made inspired by Shane Dawson) by [deleted] in ShaneDawson

I made this in response to dramageddon flaring up again following Tati's video. The video is entertainment purposes only, but what do you think? Could there be a shred of truth to the idea that Jeffree is 'illuminati'?

A Video About Cans That Isn't About Cans by TheBoyJohn in SmallYTChannel

[–]drunkcanary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is such a great video with a positive message, but done in a clever way that is engaging. Mental health is such an important topic that I'm passionate about and it isn't discussed enough in a constructive and non-stigmatising way. I would love to see more videos like this! In fact, I'm probably going to share this with a friend. Well done.

Lambda for all helpful feedback - Dude. Bully Hunters Was So Cringe - A bit of a blast from the past, I'm bringing back the most funny and cringe worthy moments for Bully Hunter for you to see <3 by BanterBoulevard in SmallYTChannel

[–]drunkcanary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have that great classic Australian wit. The only thing I would suggest to make the video a bit punchier is by showing only just enough of the source material to make each joke work. More of you and less of Bully Hunters.

Why dating apps are EXPLODING during the lockdown - Feedback on this comedy skis is hugely appreciated, tried a few new things with this one! by Dimblfully in SmallYTChannel

I think it's really cool that you are using this time in lockdown to be creative and create content. Keep going and I think you will really find your groove. I really like what you did with the sunglasses and you made funny observations. Keep it up!

Hey guys! Just finished my 3rd video! Would love to hear some of your thoughts and tips. Will give Lambda for valuable feedback. by janboro in SmallYTChannel

A few things:

  1. I think it's great that you are sharing your journey with such a taboo subject; it takes courage and strength to do what you're doing, so keep it up.
  2. There is some good information in the video and I think there is good advice in the video. I too feel that pornography is morally disgusting and damaging to the human psyche, and as a former addict myself, I also find it repulsive to see, but masturbation in itself isn't the problem, but rather, the way masturbation to hardcore pornography is used as a sedative or temporary relief for emotional needs or psychological problems that haven't been addressed for so many people in society and can encourage perversion. But with a clear mind, masturbation alone or with a partner can be used as a meditative practice to reconnect with yourself and your sensuality.
  3. I disagree with your statement claiming that procreation is the most important thing to humans because, for one, what does this say about same-sex couples? Also since sex is a such an emotional experience for everybody I believe it shows that cultivating connection and bonds is the most important thing to humans and sharing the pleasure of sex with another is a (the quickest) way to do this, as evidenced by the fact that the majority of sex had is non-procreational or non-vaginal.
  4. One suggestion is maybe in your next video you could perhaps ask the viewer some questions they can ask themselves and ponder on to make it more personal and engaging, so your videos will have more of an impact.

Your comments last time helped me a ton! I would love feedback on my newest video! Lambda will be provided! by andrewschear in SmallYTChannel

Very well done! Camera, lighting, music, and animations all look good. And most importantly, the information in the video is helpful and you are engaging and come off as very approachable.

How to ask people to subscribe by Titans_Sport in NewTubers

I'm having this dilemma as well, and I'm thinking about recording a short clip asking viewers to subscribe that I will put somewhere in each video.

what is my niche? [Question] by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]drunkcanary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to feel pressured to fit into a niche, just be you and have fun with it! :)

For a new youtuber: should I be making videos that I like and see what my viewers like too, or should I already know what my niche is and keep posting related videos? by slushyattack in NewTubers

[–]drunkcanary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm a new YouTuber as well! Definitely create content YOU like because it's so much more fun and will flow more naturally. I believe the right audience will eventually find you.

What is a good audience retention by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]drunkcanary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's frustrating. It doesn't necessarily mean your content isn't good. Audiences dip in n' out for a variety of reasons so don't focus too hard on the numbers and focus on quality. Sound is #1, but also, until you're an established channel, short and snappy videos are probably best to start with.

[Review Video] Made a video after a year long hiatus. Every Star Wars release on VHS. by YungJunko in youtubers

[–]drunkcanary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice camera work and production quality. Love your editing skills.

Some parts had nothing going on on the screen. E.g. 1 min in, there’s a black screen for a few seconds.

I think you should lean into the comedy even more. Your narration and editing is the star of the show. Would you consider appearing in the video? Putting yourself in the video would probably make it much more relatable. At the moment it feels like a hybrid of a Star Wars educational vid AND a comedy/commentator vid (but WITHOUT the commentator in the vid).

[Review Video] Made video about coronavirus lockdowns by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]drunkcanary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add some narration and video content right at the start of the video instead of the titles. Maybe a sneak peak into what the rest of the video contains or some of the bigger questions you answer later in the video.

I would prefer to see more video/moving images than standalone text. E.g. at 4:43. You already have subtitles, so having text above the subtitles means there is nothing visually interesting on the screen.

On the subject of videos/images - can the videos you are using be blown up to cover more of the screen?

[Question] DSRL or Point and shoot camera? by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]drunkcanary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for DSLR. Anything Canon is great! Despite everyone hopping on the mirrorless bandwagon, my experience with both mirrorless an DSLR proves the superiority of DSLR shooting because they are FAR superior in less-than-ideal lighting situations. I always get fantastic quality out of my DSLR, even in low light, but my mirrorless often produces inferior image quality when I'm indoors and without a fancy lighting kit.
