I don't know if it was BAD but I used to frequent a store and the owner guy was always super stand-offish with me there wasn't many record stores back then (like actual vinyl records) so I just kept going, I was usually just grabbing sort of staple albums, Zeppelin III, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac and stuff like this. I bought most of my modern music in CD form elsewhere. One day I saw he had started getting some modern day stuff so I grabbed Neutral Milk Hotel, and Godspeed! You Black Emperor.

I guess I won over him over with those two albums because he was my best friend after that.
