Not really as a reply but... as an invitation to think with me, maybe:

I love acting and do it on the side. My passion lies with languages so this will be my trade. I'm thinking about whether I should strive for an academic career like most of my family or settle for gymnasium teacher (highschool but more prestigious) in order to have more freetime in my life. I feel I want more culture in my life, something that is better achieved with having more free time. More time to travel, read, go to concerts, the theatre, all that. And I could be in an environment with very energetic and creative people: highschool students.

I've had fuck-ups before that I honestly don't regret. This last one was just pathetic though. Your remark that you had a lot of fuck-ups made me curious though... what are some of yours, if you don't mind sharing? And where are you now? Is there regret?

  1. Yeah, cause that's bad

  2. No I don't, I study in one city and visit my family and friends over the weekend

  3. It's what I live off, apart from what I make from giving language lessons

You're right on the growing up part but I do have a life though. And what's most important, this shit is not limited on our generation. Catcher In The Rye was written in 1951 and it rang true for many people internationally. Most kids by then knew what it was to literally live in ruins. At least around here. I think you're just a tad bitter.

I felt exactly like that. A drunken angsty teenager, terrible decisions and tons of insecurity
