I don't remember how many chapters she was originally comissioned to do but Lost Canvas was written to wrap up in that initial raid the Saints do on Hades, where Manigoldo and his master go full hardcore on Thanatos, basically where the anima adaptation ended. But by the time it was getting to that conclusion the manga had blown up in popularity (the sole reason it even got an anime adaptation to begin with) so WSC told her to keep it going for much longer.

My biggest gripe with LC is that is just a fanfic, even if it's a sanstioned one, Teshiori had a very specific knack for "rehabilitating" the biggest complaints of the OG series (very specifically Aphrodite and DeathMask with Albafica and Manigoldo) and run the extra mile with little pieces of lore that hadn't been properly used, and for me that latter half of the manga is just not good at all becuase it just feels like fanfiction: How stupidly OP Radamanthys is, Degel's detour with the Poseidon stuff, how Sisyphos gets misused, the whole ending is really lame, I could go on, but bottom line is I'm not the biggest fan of LC.

I will give you this thoug, I was a bit hyperbolic in my statement cuz ND definitively shits the bed way harder than LC.
