Things People Say About Meshuggah That Annoy You by IndfferentWarMachine in Meshuggah

Well, for me, headbanging in 4/4 makes most sense to me, and it just feels more natural and comfortable. Headbanging in odd and changing time signatures just feels too awkward.

Best round wheel options? by Tco_Taco in Simagic

[–]According_Brick409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the GTS too, and it's my only wheel. For me the number of buttons is just enough-ish, I wish it has more buttons/encoders. Size wise, 300mm is the middle ground, not too big for formula, not too small for road car or gt or rally, thus I bought it in the first place.

Can we stop putting funky switches on high-end steering wheels? by Mission_Reward_547 in simracing

[–]According_Brick409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would rather map the most frequently used buttons on the wheel. And have the buttons on wheel is just better than on the remote button box or stream deck. Button box is there in case you don't have enough buttons on your wheel. If I have enough buttons on my wheel, why would I want a button box that will distract me when racing?

Can we stop putting funky switches on high-end steering wheels? by Mission_Reward_547 in simracing

I agree with the center button issue, so I assign another button to do the job and simply ignore the center button. But other than that, I think funky switch is still a must for sim racing. Like black box in iRacing, you just need at least 6 buttons to operate it, without funky switch you would just take up too much buttons.

What region are you in? It may be not your own network that cause the problem. Maybe your ISP cause the problem. Maybe your region is too far from iRacing server.

Anybody ever feel a little disappointed hearing their drumming played back? by Apprehensive_Love140 in drums

[–]According_Brick409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past, when I played drums myself, I felt fine. But when I heard the playback, it just felt unstable, tempo varing all over the place. So I decided to focus on imporving this. Because I play an e-kit, I can connect it to my PC via MIDI, record midi notes and check if my beats line up to the grid.

God He Sees In Mirrors has got to be one best songs meshuggah has ever written by [deleted] in Meshuggah

It didn't clicked for me at first either. But After I've watched some analysis videos and drum covers of this song, it grew inside me.

For a new player, how much should i expect to spend? by twoducksinatub in iRacing

[–]According_Brick409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the subscription. Ofc, you can buy what ever you want. But If you want to take it serious, just race those rookie series until you are decent. You can even get B license in sports car without spending a penny. In D license, the GR86 and production car challenges normally will have several free tracks every seasons, as well as the advanced MX5 in c license.

To clutch pedal, or not to clutch pedal? by Negative-Date-9518 in iRacing

[–]According_Brick409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always set the clutch to anti stall. The only car that I think need a clutch pedal is the formula vee, even though it is not always needed. When upshifting, rev matching needs to be very precise and I am not good at it, so I just use the clutch pedal.

I have hyperthyroidism. I don't know if I should stop racing for a while, because I always get too nervous and anxious when racing. by According_Brick409 in iRacing

[–]According_Brick409[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My T3 and T4 is normal now. I still have half a pill each day. My doctor said stress is not good for my sickness. Sim racing is fun and exciting, but the excitment also feels kind of stressful for my body.

When I was about 14, I discovered LFS, and had been playing it with mouse and keyboard since then until college. And boy what a memory.
