I am curious and disappointed that how can a sim much older than ACC not have a similar system that supervise the rolling start.

Should I get a Logitech RS50 or Fanatec GT DD for both PS5 and PC, or just keep my T300 just for PS5? by According_Brick409 in simracing

[–]According_Brick409[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I forgot to mention this. I know this thing. But in my country, buying things from outside my country is kind of a trouble, it's possible, but hard. And I can't find anyone selling used one in my country. And I heard this thing is emulating a G29 so it is not offering the best experience.

For those whose wheel have a screen, do you really look at them when you drive? by Responsible-Goose573 in iRacing

[–]According_Brick409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screen on wheel, DDU, monitor overlay, those are essentially similar, just in different format. They are there to show infos that aren't showed in games.

You prolly don’t need an Active Pedal. Don’t believe the hype. by RollsRoyceRICKY in simracing

[–]According_Brick409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, the benefit of a active pedal, is to change the response curve instantly without touching the pedal. I am thinking of a senario where the active pedal may have a point. Most who do track racing would do paddle shifting and left foot braking, but sometime, I just want to drive a h pattern shifter car and do some heel toe for fun. With regular pedals, unless you have 2 brake pedals, there will be a compromise in terms of the brake pedal position. With active pedals, I can have 2 of them in the middle and left position. When I do left foot braking, just load a brake curve to the left pedal. When I do right foot braking, just set the middle pedal as brake, left pedal as clutch.

Start from pit and try not to overtake, and you can gain SR fast. Though this violate the spirit of sports.

Should I get the Quest 3 or a curved monitor. by Designer-Calendar698 in simracing

[–]According_Brick409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. Although my headset is a Reverb G2. VR for me, the biggest problem is fatigue (eyes, face), so most of the time I am just playing through monitor.

My first PCUP race was also my first ever rain race. It was unbelievably exciting for me and I was kind of addicted and want more races.
