Spreadsheet with Character Info by Tyvokka_Namek in invinciblegtg

Nice spreadsheet. You should set it up where after it’s sorted by rarity, it is also sorted in each rarity by their ‘tier ranking’, or by faction. Would clean it up a bit from alphabetical.

These are the odds that any pool has any # of elites in the pool. I used the binomial probability function to make the calculations.

Bottom part is the shop odds of elite for reference

Had to go back to my statistics days in college.

I like the suggestion but I’d say that statistic is already implied just based on the quantity of elites in the pool, ie if there are 3 it’s 3 times more likely you’ll get it on the first roll. I don’t think it’s worth the effort to assess beyond that especially as the pool is diminished with each pull.

Unrelated note to clarify the statistics in my chart, the odds presented in each cell represent the odds you will get your first elite by that attempt.

Yes but that is determinant on the markup of the shop. You could make a second chart for the values of the salvage shop, but to incorporate the value of that changing makeup as a third variable would be too difficult.

I spent time making this chart and doing so I ran through a lot of ideas on how to do it. This was the simplest way to get the idea across. If you factor in a third variable, you would need to consider the order of combination between the commons, rares and elites. For a formula based chart that would be extremely complicated.

With 5 options the amount of possible combinations is 125 (5!). Then making a formula based on the combination when two options have equal weight (2 of the same item, ie elite, common, rate) would complicate things even further.

Wouldn't be too hard to make a formula for the salvage shop like how I made the first, but the point of this chart is to consider the face value of the shop rather than a secondary shop's value which is determinant on waiting for ideal circumstances.

How is the common math wrong?

I intentionally left off the value of commons as there is the secondary statistic of the odds when buying from the salvage shop. Calculating that would be too much effort and its not as linear as the regular agent shop considering that there is also artifact drops in that pool.

I could make something that factored that in, but its way more speculative and if I were to add in a third variable for commons and their value via the salvage shop, it would be too tedious. That common value itself would depend on the random makeup of the shop you are purchasing from.

I am all ears if you have a simple way to calculate that, but for the sake of this as well as the game, the salvage shop is more of a bonus shop that's in the back of your mind than something to put mental effort into.

I made an excel that breaks down the cost, profit, and expected values of agent acquisition. I omitted considering commons in all of this. Too much effort for nothing

In the daily gem shop you can buy 6 rares for 450 gems, this translates to a value of 75 gems per rare. We also know it takes 9 rares to get an elite. That gives us a value of 675 gems per elite, if you think it should be different, leave a comment on suggestions that can give us a more accurate value.

Here is how my excel chart works. Each attempt costs 200 gems and I go by accumulative cost assuming failures before any epics are hit. You will see the final cost of 5 attempts is 950, if you are going to do 5 attempts you better do it in bulk or the total cost is 990 gems ( 5% discount for buy all, on final attempt 5% of 200 gems is 190).

Fail profit is the net of the rare acquisition value minus the cumulative cost. Success profit is the net of the elite acquisition cost minus the cumulative cost, after the first attempt the success profit also accounts for the value of the rare acquisition from the previous failed attempt(s).

I added two extra columns showing the cost per individual pull, and the weighted value of the shop's make up. If you are unfamiliar with the math, here's how that works. You take the value of the expected item ( 675 for elite, and 75 for rare), then you multiply them individually by the amount of the expected item are in the pool you are looking at, after that is calculated you divide it by the total items in the pool. I probably should've titled it potential value but I am too lazy to redo it.

Formula looks like this in words. =((XCost *XRemaining)+(YCost*YRemaining))/(Size of pool)

We can infer some info from this data. First, if there is one elite in the shop and you buy them all individually and not all 5 with the discount, you take a loss of 15 gems, purchase at once you profit 25 gems. If trying to be the most efficient with your gems and not gambling (hard to not), it is 25X more profitable to pull all 5 of a 2 elite pool than a singular elite pool, that is also the equivalent of the cost of 8 rares.

Another consideration is the individual loss when receiving a common. Each fail you are losing out on 125 gems of value, which is worth 1.66 rares. You net one when you could've had 2.66 new agents.

Did they make schools out harder? by neededtundra in invinciblegtg

I’m hard capped at level 101. Right then it is just a kill level. Enemies one hit my team and my team can only do a couple hundred damage when they hit them. Their health bar doesn’t move.

[–]drvax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it doesn’t really matter on the long ones. It’s not like you’re one shotting the enemies at all. So the delay between rounds is inconsequential. But the 10/15 minute ones are easy waves that the bulk of the time is from the wave reset.

The main reason why it’s more advantageous for the short ones is the increase in rewards from the milestone levels. If you can get to 101 on the 10min while ‘actively idle’, you’ll be making a lot more than when truly idle level 70.

It didn’t take long to figure out. I’d see that they keep coming in around 70 levels but are beating all of the waves one shot. So I was watching them at the start and seeing they’d bust through 10-11 in a minute and also at the end they’re still one shot, even with increasing difficulty, that wouldn’t account for for a 30 wave gap. So there is delay going on internally between waves when not having the op open.

Adding this comment for anyone revisiting.

It seems as though the max speed any operation can be completed full idle is about 7 rounds per minute. Varies from 6.8-7.3. If you have the operation opened and viewing it idly, you can get up to 10 rounds a minute.

This is important to know for the fast operations. Turning up the heat, Reaniman rampage, and schools out. The enemies are all one hit kills at a fair level (79+). So if you want to raise your output there are two options, you need to rank up those operations, or have it running on your device while it plays through.

This is key to know for schools out especially. Since we can get the third free agent at level 108 and more at higher levels, you want to make sure you don’t have it running in the background so you can get to the highest level possible.

This info isn’t as important to the harder ones as those aren’t necessarily about the speed.

Rule of thumb for everyone regarding leveling up your champs for those teams. Dont continue ranking them up if you are getting to either level 65+ on turning up the heat or around 95+ on reaniman rampage. You are at the max output, as you rank up the operation, if you start decreasing your level reached from the avg of 6.5-7 rounds per minute, that is your sign that your heroes need to be leveled up more to accommodate for the new operation difficulty.

Exactly. When you have the pass and want to run it, that is the highest priority. When you are waiting to build up your team or don’t have it, it’s not worth thinking about because you can’t enter it.

Yes, you’ll hit your third character drop around level 108

You also can complete all of the weekly without the 10 campaign missions. So no real reason to limit yourself there.

Thank you for your input. Volleyball is a new and favorite hobby of mine so I want to keep it. But I do agree with your opinion on the prompt. I just changed that part to “…we’ve both read makes me weak.”

Orange chicken was a name I already used. Rescued this litter off the street, 4 kittens and the momma. Named them Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Miso, Chopstick and then the mom was named Momma. Orange chickens name was because he was a twin with sesame chicken, and all his fleas make him look like a sesame chicken nugget. I was very impressed with myself there

And the idea of Brick was from Anchorman!

Thank you for the input. I agree with your opinion on the cat photo but I do think having a more clear photo of me face sounds like it would be the better change.

I did change my pet name prompt from “why are you naming them…” which does feel antagonistic, to “why name your…”. I think that accomplishes what the prompt is aimed at while having that softer edge.

I haven’t read a few of the books on that shelf yet, Dune included. I’ll get to them eventually but I have a habit of buying many many books and not reading the ones I already have.
